A New Governor
 

I have heard that Ghostpirate has somebody in mind as the new governor..to my understanding nobody in the kingdom knows this person and they are inactive

From speaking to various people they disagree with this..and in the hope the people of CP have some say in their kingdom i am posting this poll

do you want to vote for your choice of governor
or would you prefer to have somebody we dont know taking over(the person is called Ziro)

I would appreciate it if pirates only would vote.....but knowing most people it wont happen:\

we got a leader forced on us and the kingdom was still ruined!

A kingdom vote will most likely not happen but if it does it's going to be stupid because noone I have seen in Pirates is fit to run a kingdom :\

The Pirate's are Ghost's. He has earned the respect and trust of many. Go with his judgement.

i dont know him well he hasnt really been gov for long

so i dont know if his judgement is best

she is the only one who actually cares about CP and she is trying
to bring it back to live
so it would be a good idea to support her

He's been the leader of the Pirates since 2001. And he recently took a 'break'. But he came back.

he didnt do many good things now...
and he is gone now so CP needs a new gov
And who is best for that? a senior member who is active and cares about the guild and the members like Misty does!

I do not understand how I come in to this situation. Are you saying I have made plans to try to take over CP?

In my opinion, Misty Di would need to change some of her ways in order to become a good leader for the Crescent Pirates. It is quite apparant she has good leader qualities, however she does not seem fully capable of being leader from what I have gathered.

First, it is good that she is very much involved in the Graal community and has become well-known by the members of it.

The problems lie elsewhere. The other day, I made a comment about an individual among the kingdom who holds a rather high-rank. The problem I had with this person was that I walked up to him/her and began an RP conversation. That person was kind to me, yet while on an RP nickname and tag (Crescent Pirates), he/she was responding to my RP talk with obvious OOC talk (that would be things such as "lol", "sup", "cya", etc.). After mentioning this, Misty Di defended the individual by telling me her age. I stood by my opinion about how a high-ranking person should set an example to the rest of the kingdom by at least following RP rules. Misty Di was angered and even called me "deaf".

So, not only did she give the impression that she is too nice to people who can't RP by allowing them to have a high rank, but she also seemed to show that she cannot handle being criticized.

I have no personal issues with that certain individual or Misty Di, but I think those were not the appropriate actions of a leader of an RPing kingdom (unless of course you only wish to continue with the problems of RPing on Graal Kingdoms). Now if Misty Di was so nice to this person because of a personal relationship with him/her, I would understand why that person would be allowed to be in the kingdom and why she would take the time to teach her things. However, if such were the case, a lower rank would be much more appropriate. Once again, I apologize for disgruntling you. I only brought that problem to the kingdom in the interest of the role-playing of Graal Kingdoms.

ziro, i was talking to ghost pirate and he said he might pick a new leader and it might be you, he wasn't sure though.
i trust ghost in his opinon. for i have known him for quite some time. i think a vote would be good too but he is still the leader so what he says goes

and for people who said Ghost Has not been leading the pirates but for a little time. he has been leading the pirates for 2 or more years i beleave. From Pirate crew on graal 2001 and then CP right when it was released, he just took like a 2 month break

Yes, I too will stand by whatever decision he makes. As I told you earlier, Ghost Pirate knows what is best for the Crescent Pirates like a mother knows what is best for her infant.

I still stand by my decision..everybody should get a chance and a first mate should be the most trusted person by the captain and at that time i could trust her the most...you'll also be pleased to know that she is still learning RP and is getting the hang of it now, I told you her age because i never knew things like RP at her age and she does take part in RP within the DI family

If you think you are the better governor then let the CP members vote... if not, then you should change the rank governor to dictator :\

I wish I could redo my vote. Now I am starting to see why they wanted some person that noone knows to be leader. None of you are capable of it.

Most of you guys don't even know that Tiffany DarkSword was the one that literally braught CP back. She was like the only person on tag for about 2 months! then she got adding rights,and REALLY braught it back to life.

If anybody deserves it, It would be her. But that is just my opinion.

Yes, I am very pleased to be informed of any RP-related improvements within the RP group I have chosen to RP in.

However, I strongly stand by my opinion. One should not be given a high rank if he/she still has almost everything to learn about what he is doing. It would be like someone making a person be the Vice President of an established company, while he still doesn't know anything about the line of work he/she is going into. If one is to learn while doing the job, that person should have a small position only. It is a more appropriate choice of action.

As for you, Borgie, I was not telling everyone why Misty Di would be a perfect Governor. I clearly stated why she would not be a very good person to choose for the job. And you are wrong, Misty Di is not the only person who cares about the Crescent Pirates. I care about the Crescent Pirates greatly. I am concerned for CP and all of the kingdoms, or RP groups, on Graal Kingdoms. They all seem to be having problems at the moment. Many of them are like your classic gaming clans; simply a group of players who stick together and "fight" other groups on a game. One problem is probably that new players see everyone in a kingdom and they choose follow the crowd while very few people have patience to explain to them basic concepts of roleplaying because they are too involved with building up their character statistically (levels,items...which is very important also).

I thought that but nate decided on GP..but Tifa and nate are good friends so i am assuming that she maybe got offered it but declined as she is very busy with her classic server doomsday

I doubt disscussing whether ziro or i are better because no doubt it will go to ziro...i think this is because he is male..i doubt very very much i would be chosen or any other female for that matter

You didn't seem to know that GhostPirate was a long-time leader of the Crescent Pirates/Pirate Crew. I think you might have worse problems than being female.

Do you not read or something? Ghost was banned becasue torankusu upgraded his account with a stolen credit card. He is not coming back and someone needs to be chosen as the new governer.

Its just like absolute monarchies..just the position isnt heriditary (and because of that such a system can be many times better).

The dictator has a point. But I thought dictator was just an OOC rank. I thought kingdoms were run democratically, and if enough players group together, they can decide their leader. Is such not the case? Or does the leader get to decide how the next leader is chosen (Like it seems is being done with CP)?

I just want to add another thing about me not being able to take critisicm..to be honest nobody can, its a way of saying what they have done is not good enough and if you think what you done was right its hard to take it

I also believe you gave out criticism in a wrong way..it was just negative criticism...and not constructive in anyway, if you were to give out the criticsim in a proper manner you would have suggested what i could have done to help cecelia and not just go on about how bad at RP she is and that she is a usless first mate

Of course anyone who is in the line of ascending power would undoubtfully agree with his decisions. It is quiet foolish for you to believe Ghost Pirate knows what is best for it, seniority is not always the best thing. With the ages and years gone by sometimes experiance degrades in a manor un worthy of the cause. Suffice to say, Misty is infact a good leader for the kingdom, can you find anyone else whom is better that is a senior member of CP, that isn't bent on power? That isn't just Ghost Pirates little lackey-right-hand-man who is going to be chosen due to the fact he is an aquaintance or friend with him? Its like Lord Zen said, a king is best chosen by vote, not by in-heritance. If a king dies a queen shouldn't take over just because she is of royal descendants. The same thing applys as choosing favorites. Though the kingdom is a bit scattered since Ghost Pirates re-arrival, A kingdom vote might just as well be messed up at as well, but of course if it goes without a governor for too long obviously bad things will happen.

I agree that he MIGHT not come back, but as the rules state to be un-banned you just have to buy another p2p (this is a devious system of supply and demand, make those banned have to pay, literally). Though i doubt he will pay to come back here, he might just wait to get PoP instead. If i were him i would too. There are some things, like the decision to become part of the graal community in times like these, that a person would sooner regret and forget than re-emberse.

He defianatly said that he is not coming back and I don't blame him. I are starting to despise GK and everything about it. In 6 days when 2k1 is re-released I will be moving back there. That server was the best IMO and 2k2 ruined everything about 2k1.

That was quite obvious when you stated it. I understood this. I was simply telling you that you have worse problems than not being male.

I wasn't assuming. I cleary said it seems as if you did not know GP was a long time leader (No, not "leader long time ago". There's a difference.) because of the fact that Zurkiba even commented, telling you that of GP's history with Pirate Crew and Crescent Pirates.

I am not even sure if Ghost Pirate has decided to choose me to be the next Governor. It sounds as if he has only been considering it to some minor degree.

Not that whatever personal relationship I may or may not have with Ghost Pirate matters, but I doubt that's the reason he has chosen me.

I didnt need Zurkiba telling me i already knew, he was a leader long time ago because from what i remember it was a long time back "i clearly said it seems" if something seems to be something but you dont know for sure you are ASSUMING!!!!!

My 2cents worth:
I would gladly get GP back if he agrees, i'm willing to help him.

Myself,Robin and Misty worked tirelessly to try build up CP,it may have not looked like much on the outside, but we were busy building up supplies and such, and enrolling new members, teaching RP etc.
All that aside i was never offered Governor, if i was at the time,i would have taken it, but GP came back,so it didnt happen.
Now i admit i have lost interest in GK, its boring, same old,bash em up stuff.
But i have come on, talked to Misty, and she's doing a wonderful job, so if i have any say, which i doubt, but i would vote her, and support her because it wouldnt be easy.
I plan on leaving Graal soon, it bores me, it's owners ignore me, and i am tired of being treating like crap.
People come on my server, give me ****, and when i respond by firing them if their staff i get called abusive names until i am forced to take action.
My server loses players, and they go to other servers that dont give a damn ( i went on one today, there 5 minutes and i get pm'd called a ho, fun fun , gotta love these servers)
Anyway, yes, please GP if you change your mind, i can help.
If not for goodness sake somebody have the wisdom to choose someone or appoint someone like Misty who clearly show they care, have stuck around, and not just someone whose been in the kingdom 3 days i mean geez didnt happen for me, is it sexist or something?

I only think the person who deserves it most should become Governor... like Misty or Tifa

You are still making the mistake Ziro has already stated. He said "long-time leader" not "leader long time ago." There is a vast difference in the meanings of those two words.

I'm sorry to hear that - as you already know, I have a great respect for you as a manager and as a person. I witnessed firsthand how much you care for that server when I worked there as a member of your GP team for a short time. While you may not think its owners care, they do - they just are so very busy. They really need to find/hire someone else to help out.

Simple answer: ban them. If they only come there to harrass you, ban them. If they are staff, and were fired, and call you abusive names, ban them. You're too kind to people sometimes.

Servers that allow this need to be dealt with. When things like this happen, complain to Lyndzey, Spark, Angel, or myself (would have included Houdiniman but for some reason he dislikes you), and we can see about getting something done.

Don't leave because of the bad...Things'll be worse for the rest of us...:(

I was also in Pirate Crew a long time ago on "somewhat old" G2k1 (before too much inflation,new bodies,hp system,and those DBZ hats). While it may not mean much to you, GP liked that about me.

Not true. I am not assuming something by saying something seems to be as such. I am actually avoiding making an assumption.

An example of my criticism would have been helpfull to respond to this. If you're referring to the situation with that First Mate, I brought up the problem because I was hoping to bring it to the attention of the members online at the time. This way, perhaps something could be done about it.

Well, I do find it to be quite hard to understand you at times. An example is this poll. You say "a person who has not been active for a while" in one of the options, yet you don't make it clear as to what this person has not been active in (GK? CP?). And the first option is a question. The poll itself should be a question. You greatly lack organization.
