Rules about "hackers" , URL, sites ...

Too much attention is concentrated on small groups of people acting against the community. (Trainers, hacked files, account list ...) and the attention is exactly what they are expecting. The majority of these people are not able to make creative work, then they try to destroy the work of the others.

It would be much better to completely be unaware of them and to not speak more about them on these forums.

Consequently, I ask you to not speak more about these people in these forums, and I ask all the moderators to enforce this rule.

All the messages which will have something to see closely or by far with these people will be delete and the writer account warned or banned.

In a more creative and interesting perspective, I Will announce monday the second phase of Player World hosting, with a lot of new features including affiliation program.

With my thanks for your assistance in making this community friendlier.

I FULLY agree, I hate how people refer to all these stupid idiots. I mean most of them have messed up characters in their names etc, and people do it correctly, I mean its all stupid.

And was just about to IM you about Phase 2, okay cool =)

I also -FULLY- agree, all they want is attention...

::Edit:: Wow unixmad, I have not spoken to you in a while, or hear you speak, your english is much better

Yeah, also people are basically advertising their pathetic activities. And also some new people may be like: What/Who is ****** and then they may search on a search engine, and fall into a mess.

Also it may be a good idea to **** their names?

protagonist 07-06-2003 03:59 PM

Okay suckups, you can stop now =\.

Unix, how should we let you know if we do find something bad like an account list? This time they were bluffing, but should we just forum PM you or email you the URLs? Certainly publicizing them is a bad idea, but if someone finds a website threatening to Graal shouldn't they let you know?

Androk 07-06-2003 04:26 PM

This reminds me of How USA Government says there are no aliens *laughs*. Seriusly though, people have the right to now, of course hackers are not something major, and should be spat upon, but still.

Also unixmad, is there any way for you to find out who the Anti-Graal hackers are, and sue them?

As for PlayerWorld hosting going to Phase 2... I can't wait!

I agree with him. I suggest some other ways to stop it. I outline the way it is a problem. And give my opinion. Hmm... Thanks.

I know of one way, dont know if I can say it though.

Yes, and that's nice. But you post the same way to everything he says. You're allowed to ask questions, it helps clarify for other people.

Just because he agrees with unixmad often does not make him a suck up.

protagonist 07-06-2003 07:58 PM

No, but he's always like "OMG UNIXMAD YOU ROX TEH SOX" and such. It's not helpful to people who have questions relating to it.

Good point it is getting annoying now.I think unximad still wants to know about the illigal activities though. Ive been sending him sites, and stuff via Forum PM. Im not positive if he wants that though.

Spark910 07-06-2003 08:19 PM

I didnt know you all felt this way. Fine, bye.

Neonight 07-06-2003 08:26 PM

How, exactly, are we supposed to inform the others then? Message them separately? ;x

And I agree with Ne0. Your English is much better than it used to be. If I hadn't seen "unixmad" by the post, I wouldn't have thought it was you. ;)

Crono 07-06-2003 09:00 PM

So in conclusion, another Graal Online staff member gave him the idea and told him what to say or unixmad had someone do it for him. I think the rule is OK even thogh I don't think its a VERY GOOD "OMG" IDEA like two other people did >.>

It helps stop the distirbution of illegal websites for graal. It also should cut down on trojan downloads that are graal targeted. People who do not know who that person is will now not search it and come across downloads which seem fine but are bad. And we should have a better community as we dont have to talk about and relate to all these immature idiots.

And for the record, I dont use things like ''OMG'' and ''ROX'' and ''SOX''. And I havent said that, I have given my opinion, related to the topic, and explained why this may have been done (again in this post) So this is useful to people who have Questions, we dont need to ask ''Why?''.

Crono 07-06-2003 09:25 PM

So what if we know hackers are going to hack graal and do this and that? We can't say it on the forums according to these rules.

Forum PM.
Support Center.
E-mail.
AIM (Like if it effects accounts, get Lyndzey)

And I think Unix may have been pointing more to the general often use of peoples names used in jokes, sigs, normal posts etc. But yes you have a point there... There should be a website to post/submit onto.

Darlene159 07-06-2003 10:52 PM

It isnt hard to understand that posting url's here to trainer websites and such draws attention to the sites and makes more people go there, and also creates needless panic....I fully agree with Unixmad, and hope this rule is followed. There is more than one way to get something to Unixmad as Spark has stated in his post without it being given to the public

TifaKhan 07-07-2003 03:48 AM

Heh, i forum pm'd Stefan over a week ago about an illegal site.
He still hasnt opened it.
But i found out its easier if i pm a global like HoudiniMan and get him to pass it along.

I've sent five or so to Stefan, and he just told me to tell unixmad. So now I just send the URLs to unixmad.

Ne0 07-07-2003 05:20 AM

I want to suggest somthing, but gotta talk to unixmad first o.o

MarkB 07-07-2003 08:41 AM

I hope that this is now the release of this...as in we can start paying for the server and actually get them online.

Crono 07-07-2003 02:38 PM

Giving the URL's out should be illegal but talking about them shouldn't. What if a newbie didn't know what a trainer was, browsed this forum and went "Oh I guess a trainer is something that trains you *downloads*"

We should be able to say "So and so is a hacker and has a site" but we won't say the site name for obvious reasons. Then again, trying to argue with a graal admin is like driving off a cliff O.o

Yeah. But sometimes it doesnt work. Like he reads them, yet it says he hasnt. Or it says its tracking, but the PM was never sent. It has some bugs, but yes most of the time Im sure tracking is accurate.

Hopefully, well hes going to announce it, so maybe not just yet. Hopefully not longer than 2 weeks. But I think that the currently online PWs should be sorted soon and their 6months should start ticking away.

The problem is by naming them, that person feels as if they have done something cool, and the publicity drives them to repeat or do more. If we say nothing and dont mention it, that person may feel that his/her actions are pointless, and not being noticed, and so its a waste of his/her time.

Ne0 07-07-2003 07:44 PM

Like I stated earlier, all they want is publicity/attentsion.

Crono 07-07-2003 08:31 PM

But getting public attention is a good thing because soon, all the admins on all servers will know he/she hacks so they'll keep a close eye on him/her.

Ok so its about 9pm your time and there is still no release of phase two. Did you perhaps mean the week of monday? :\

Getting public attention is bad. Getting private attention is good. Also, since when does the author of a trainer/hacker leave their account name? Posting on the forums, and in public places gives them what they want, publicity. But if you did have the account, or a nickname, maybe message a server administrator or two on each server?

He's probably working on it now, I'll bet it'll be posted later tonight. My guess is 12 hours from now~ I'm pretty sure he's out of work now, at home, and going to bed in an hour or so. Tomorrow morning his time (~12 hours from now) he will probably announce details

Nick1988 07-07-2003 11:36 PM

It's 4:38 Eastern Time, and still nothing. I'm getting worried now.

That would not be monday. That would be the week of which isnt what he specified but I sarcastically suggested.

Nick1988 07-08-2003 12:00 AM

According to timeanddate.com it's 11 PM where they live :\

xPuppetMasterx 07-08-2003 12:17 AM

Hopefully it will be monday, and they won't repeat the old "late-on-everything" approach. :\

I love the way you have your head inserted in your ass. Because you if you bothered to read the bottom half of Unixmad's post you would see we are on topic as he included it within the same post.
