It has become a sort of, Frensey amoung players now to suddenly sell scripts of newmain on newmain! On an avrege 10 min period I get about 4 mass pms of people selling the minning npc,jumprope,birdcatching,ctf,and other tings that are uniquke to NewMain, The Police dont seem to jail them because they are not sure if it is eligale or not. After reading this I hope you will give the say so to jail these people plainly put by Lugie "The NPC black market" out of busness, They should not profiet from your and the other members of the staffs work. Thank you.

I don't think it's too cool, personally. But hey, people are trying to get money in as many ways as they can.

It's because when a playerworld goes p2p stefan uploads the scripts to the FTP and on Enigma they were leaked *cough* warcaptain *cough*
The 2 reasons enigma went p2p was because warcaptain wanted a free p2p account and he wanted the scripts.

You can't teach scripting. Ask Stefan or Kyle or Tyhm who taught them, for example. Skill comes from a compulsive need to make everything neat and perfect and efficient and, luckily for most people, it's a very selective occupation. Only a few people can do it without going too crazy.

Yesterday, via e-mail, somebody sent me the bomy pet script. I have no clue why, but I think it's the real deal, it's very long and everything looks right.

Stefan didn't get taught NPC scripting. He is the God of NPC Scripting. He made up the bloody language, for crying out loud.

Kyle, I think learned it on his own with some help from others, and Tyhm learned in the same fashion.

I dunno if I'm arguing this correctly, but, as everything else, I'm probably interpreting everything wrong so I will just shut up now.

There's a difference between "NPC Scripting" and "Graal Scripting." Besides, he still needs to learn and develop techniques just like the rest of us. After all scripting isn't just about learning all the commands.

Exactly my point. Same goes for that other great scripter, Kaimetsu ;)

Lycia, Graal Scripting is basically C++ in a modified way.

Ah, I couldn't make out the "Order" bit. Does that refer to Graal NW?

Actually it's a group that a whole bunch of my art/image buddies made. You might see some pics by them if you goto a lot of art/image websites. I personally made that one. But in no way is it affiliated with WCW's nWo.

I did too... I wasnt that great at scripting until I met Kai a year ago... He is the greatest geometrics scripter I have ever seen on graal and he toulght me soo much =)

Geometry becomes less useful online, because Graal isn't suited to clientside parametric movements. Moving something twenty times per second does tend to produce a lot of lag. Still, it makes pretteee effects offline ;)

I learned everything i know by myself completely no help and it was hard in a way but i know it i didnt learn it i know it completely now but i can use much more knowledge especialy in some math departments i know enough but i need more and kia be teachin the best so yous better teach me too O_o and get me a dictionary ! =P

Getting back to the point...

I think that everyone who sells a script should be banned. I wouldn't have any problem with it if it was one of my scripts that I worked on because I was bored or something, I wouldn't care much. But if I worked hard on it and I didn't want it distributed, and that's what they were doing, I would get pissed. I'm sure that Stefan and all the other scripters feel the same way.

Also, I think that it's illegal to sell those scripts. Aren't they copyrighted?

I think that anyone who sells Graal 2001 scripts should be banned, because of all the hard work Stefan and others put into the scripts.

I'm pretty sure they are. So I see it as, it's illegal to sell them, we need Mafukie to make a new rule. Otherwise I have no power to do anything about it.

Buying scripts would be really stupid.
When a server is upgraded I am uploading
scripts to their ftp, also I give them the
Graal2001 scripts if the owner asks me
for it. Since the npcserver scripts only work
on npcserver it will not be of much use for
other people.
Some scripts like mining are not released yet,
I would wonder if someone has it.
The other scripts (e.g. jump'n'run and bomy
player race) can be used offline too and
also on free servers, but servers will be shut down
if its used without asking me (bomy player race
is disallowed, but jump'n'run would be ok,
better than the crappy scripts used on some
places on Graal ...).
