Finally I got the forums working again.....New Tournament !!!!!!!
 

First and foremost, most people know I do not like posting here and such but this is an event that I will post and will read it because I have the forums back. I had cookie problems and such like that.....All that aside here is the announcement.

This is all TENTIVE stuff. If you ask me on graal for details, or go on asking if you can be in it and such, I will simply ignore all requests. If you have a question or whatever, you leave it in this thread. All other attempts without me first coming to you about it, please do not ask me....

I was planning on hosting a sparring tournament on a server. Brought to you Unofficially by Graal Online. What will happen, is that once a week, (still haven't picked a day) there will be a 16 or 32 person sparring tournament.

When the winner of the tournament is decided, they will receive a global sparring championship tag, to wear by themselves for the week. The next week rolls around the "Champion" can decide to participate or wait for the Grand Championship at the end of the month. If the champion decides to spar in the tournament and wins, he/she remains with their tag. If the champion wins a total of 3 times in a month, he/she is named Grand Champion by default.

So now you know the format...so then if this goes for 4 months or more, there will be a Supreme Championship, where all the winners of EACH month, will square off in a mini tournament to decide who will be the supreme championship. So then the Supreme Champion, will receive a special prize...

Prizes: Gift Certificates at their fav. store. A Ps2/GC/Xbox video game, err dunno what else I can offer but it's something to look forward to :). Anyways.

As for laggers, there will be a pre-inspection, of lag. If someone lags incredibly, they will be removed from the tournament, to make it fair. The finals of each tournament is a best out of 3. You must win 2 matches to win. In the supreme championship, each match is the best out of 5.

I will be gathering people to Ref, and help out, and make things fair and such. I know i had to make something special. But since I was planning on holding this on classic, we hit a road block, and well I'm going to be on servers sparring, testing the area, and seeing what server will host these events and such. Or possibly we can get a private server for the sparring and such. Not sure what is going to happen. I announce this to prepare. This is NOT definate. It may not EVEN happen, so please if you have comments, problems, additional information, post it below. If you talk to me while I'm on RC or on Graal about this, you will be ignored, I do not need tons of pm's about this, it's tentive, so there. Please respect this and me. I'm doing this for the sparrers of graal, I'm tired of the skills not being rewarded and I think this is a good way to do it :)

Umm...I don't think everyone would have great stats (sword,hearts,shield etc) on numerous servers...Can't you just host it on one popular one where alot of people are strong? *cough Classic*

or make a temp playerworld where you start with 13 hearts and lizardsword / shield or something

That was the plan. Classic, but as I said complications arose and that was out of the question. If they have a change of heart then yeah, we will try for classic. Otherwise I just want to know what people think of the ideas and prizes

But maybe a dedicated server, if you win a sparring class, you can get a predetermined upgrade (Sword, shield, hearts, etc,) and when you complete your upgrades, you get other stuff (Like hats, a playerhouse to hold your awards, stuff like that,) and go to a higher class. It could be pretty fun.

hmm then if some1 from another server than classic want to be in the spar tournament then they have to do all the quests to get 9 hearts and stuff because its not so fun so spar 1 with 3 fullhearts and lvl1 sword when you have 9fullhearts and lvl3 sword then you have to drop to 1 heart then its over really fast x.x

the prize could be a account upgrade or vip account or something :rolleyes: =)

In my opinion, it wont be fair to hold it on any given server because some wont be able to join if they dont play that server.
There needs to be an alternative place where everyone recieves the same stats when they enter.
I think it's a great idea though

I completely agree; it needs its own separate server to be held at. Holding it at any server where people already have stats would be unfair to those who don't.

That makes no sense, you could as well use less hearts and swordpower 1 :)

X_x, its easy, on classic you just drop some hearts.. f stats arent even..


i have level 2 sword 6 hearts there, wich will mean that people will have to drop hearts X_X, well im very intrested, just a tiny question, i didnt see it in the text so, how do you join=?


i play on classic alot, X_X but im mostly known as Lord EK (NBK) there....
And i can tell you, X_x they are alot better on classic in sparring then other servers, but UN are going to be a better server.

UN people mostly lag... there's not tons of skill in most of their "great" sparrers.

I think we should use nice even numbers...

lvl 2 sword with 10 hearts is usually my favorite, but if they're making a private server (best way to go) why not use graal's full potential and make it 20 hearts?

maybe to keep it short 10 would be better?

championships could have 20?

and if its on classic or something it sux for people with trial accounts to be in the spar because then they have to spar withouth lizardshield or something o_O if there r any trial accounts that spar x.x =)

My idea is to make each Week Championship in a different (most apropriated) classic server... For example:
The first week will be on N-Pulse, then the next week will be on Maloria, and etc...

And about the stats, we could make a global NPC that lets everyone with the same stats (sword/shield/hearts) and add in every server that the championship will be hosted...

That would solve the problems of some people that don't like Classic, or N-Pulse, or Doomsday, and etc... Because every week, the championship will happen in a different place...

eh? Then how can people defend it when they ARE the champion then?
I like Daniel's idea of the one spar chapionship server.

Idea was to umm get it so people participate as a community on a server, if it's a new server, I dunno cuz then I'd have to have staff watching over people making sure they aren't hacking, doing any of that stuff, but as for defending it, I said they could the following week, but they will have to enter the tourny as a normal person. And work their way to the finals.

I just like to hear what you guys want in this, cuz it's for you guys, I'm not sparring in it at all

lvl two is less easier than lvl 1 cause you can tell exactly how much health you have left out of the corner of your eye, it's not hard with lvl 1 but you have to move your attention

also, if you take the average swordpower and hearts of all the servers it's about that

Im not trying to casue arguing here, but we could hold it on Bravo. Everyone has a level 1 sword, and 3 hearts. I could make some sweet sparring levels.

This happened ages ago for those who remeber, the Staff on Rudora made a sparing arena and told other staff from all PWs to get 10 people for the spar, and about 127 were on Rudora and it was cool. UN won :) And after that alot of PWs did it

And anyway, if they announced the week before which PW would be hosting it, people coudl go there and get the hearts and things, it woudl be a good way to get smaller PWs noticed, and for players to rotate around all the Ws and see what they have to offer. Like idea?

sometimes i like it when it devides by 1 instead of going from 5 to 4.5 but 10 to 9 is alot more pretty ;)

maybe make like a script of something so when you entered the arena everyone gets like the same stats.dont know if thats possible

Just do it the way they do on classic by droppnig hearts untill it would take each person the same anmount of hits to kill the other.
