Why does this gmap dont work? help me people

Spark910 12-04-2002 03:43 AM

NPC Code:

loadmap antarctica_mafia.gmap;
-Use this to laod your GMAP

addtiledef / addtiledef2
-And you may want to add a tileset as the original one doesnt work with 3D terrain, or use 2002s for testing, picso.png I think.

Ok?

It shouldn't.

I don't even now how to get the G2002 Gmap working :(.

Acererak 12-04-2002 09:36 AM

gmaps can be very annoying, someone should post a tutorial

zell12 12-04-2002 10:51 AM

Very easy.
Put the name of your gmap in Graal2001/loadgmaps.txt.
In a level on your map, put:
if (created) {
loadmap map.gmap;
}
If there is no .txt file, create one.

Python523 12-07-2002 05:22 AM

ex, when using loadmap you donot include the .gmap extention

and btw: having the terrain gen without having it been given to you by stefan is currently 'illegal'

zell12 12-08-2002 04:53 PM

you don't need the terrain gen to make a gmap -_-
you use the editor to conform the levels, and save the map as a gmap or convert it to one.

baywatch1 12-08-2002 05:06 PM

i tried all this but i wont work! i think there is something wrong in the gmap can you look at it and say me whats wrong?

zell12 12-08-2002 05:25 PM

There is a problem with your gmap, its not working for me either. -_-

baywatch1 12-08-2002 07:46 PM

Why can you fix the bug in the gmap! please open and look whats wrong please? i cant find the bug

Its possable. :P

Spark910 12-09-2002 06:12 PM

Yeah its possible, but I doubt he did, most people take the easy way out by letting a program do it for you,

baywatch1 12-11-2002 01:53 AM

you did not make that gmap by hand, only people who completelly know how gmaps work could make something like that by hand, you can't even get a gmap working? you definatelly used a leaked program to make that

Ok?

Thats half right about the pics1.png not working. It will work if you're using a 2d terrain set by setting everything to 0 :D We did some testing with it on providence. It worked fine as a 2d gmap except when we tried to make one for the current overworld it wouldnt work correctly. Current overworld being the one we had been working on when I was there. ;x

You couldnt get the 2d Gmap to load for providence overworld :P

most g-servers didn't support gmaps at the time, the client did but the server didn't so it looked like it was loaded but it wasnt loaded correctelly
