Both cant have had the same idea.
maybe both mail box systems are a bit different but its still the same idea and its very strange that gaia comes up with a mail-box system and graal2002 gets one at almost the same time.

Probably in some month or something, the other servers will be stealling my Scrool Bar system, check box, and other things I made..

Jeff worked on a mailbox idea for 2k1, which is still up on there, but it's been on Providence for the past 5 months or so. Giltwist made it, I believe.

Why must a server "steal" an idea from another? Thats like one server having swords then another gets swords so wtf?

To be true, I didn't know that any playerworld had mailboxes or letters. I haven't seen it on Gaia, have only played a few minutes on it. So I am sorry if someone thinks I 'stole' something.
Actually the mailboxes are in the mudlib for more than 10 years, I thought its a good thing to add it to Graal now since its good for role-playing and the new house building thing, where every house owner should have his own mail box.

Pirat, you are a ubercritical idiot. A mailbox is a concept that has been in use by humans for hundreds of years :whatever:
I do not think that you know how long mail boxes were in developement on Graal2001, Graal2002 and Gaia. As Stefan said, the mailboxes were in the mudlib, and the idea came up for Graal2001 even before that. So it is pretty obvious that not one person has invented the idea of Graalian mailbox while all others have stolen it.

and btw is the gaia-mailboy something like an e-mailprog while 2k2's seems like a box you can fill any sort of stuff in...

Mail boxes have been around for years.
Much longer than any of us here have been alive.

If any server's going to get the title of the first to have its own internal email service, I'd say that honor would have to go to newmain, who released it first...a skeletal version about five months ago like Neonight said, and just two or three days ago I released a full-duplex version that allows both transmisssion and reception for free.

Also the mailbox system was on 2k1 before Gaia was even released.
Infact lots of things that are on 2k1 have been transfered to 2k2 in one way or another.

To be completely honest, and since none of you ****s could possibly remember this, I had a mail-system all written out etc. many years ago for Peach. Among with other ideas, such as on-screen-text display (All normal text in the game just flooded on one line and went over the screen, IE: one large sentence would span througout the entire level, until i got it changed)
