A Graal Commerical?
 

Graal is a very fun game and i think many more people would play if they only knew about it so maybe make a commerical? I dunno if this has been asked b4 but i think it would be a good idea I dunno post what you think about this.

? So you saying its a bad idea? I mean it wouldnt have to be a commerical it could be an Online ad or something of that nature just something that could bring more people to Graal other then the word of Mouth. The way i heard of Graal was from some guy in this Chat room talking about Pking people in Classic.

We would need a lot of great servers to play on.. Because when one of the great servers gets full, there would be no where left to go.

I don't even want to imagine 2k2 with 1000 people. Heck, with all the islands it wouldn't even really be crowded, but still, the lag would be atrocious. I don't know what servers Graal uses, but I can bet money they are paying too much for them.

I don't know what possessed you to put this in NGR.

If that was so, it would be awesome for 2k2 if they all rp'd. HUGE armys :D

FUN. But then there would be that awful bunch who ruin it for everyone.

The idea is great. I've always wanted to have a 50 vs 50 batle or something, it would be sweet.

You would need like 10 good servers like Graal 2002, 2001 etc before you would make a commercial for Graal, right now there isn't the time.

commerical = need money
stefan = cheap

i think we should just do banner exchages and affiliate with other online games

A commercial costs several thousand dollars to put on televesion. To put a Graal commercial on television would be disastrous if it didn't work because it would waste the entire revenue for GO, and that would hurt us alot because we would have to pay more(crippling if you are Canadian).

and I dont think graal would be fitting for huge crowds of players, unless it got alot more caring/smart/noncorrupt staff.

That is why Graal needs to be a RTRPAS
(Real Time Role Playing Action Strategy) :P
like i doubt that would ever happen but i mean with smart AI so that each person in the kingdom can rather then being a unit of just one person, would be the commander of a unit of those things, and you could control them and tell them to attack and stuff. That would be neat.

Then so many newbies would join and ruin servers with mindless PKing. And think of the cost!

Yes, I'm beginning to wonder how Dustari is going to deal with it's 1:3 ratio of commanders to soldiers. I'd love to have a huge army like the one you described to work with. God, that would be incredible.

I've heard Dustari's army used to be a horde of PKers commanded by a few good roleplayers. That doesn't seem like too terrible an idea, if you ask me.

A good idea, but a poor execution would ensue. People can't handle it, especially people who see it on TV (im assuming). Im sure many PKers will come. Look at the attempted Zepplin race today. It was ruined by PKers. If the people in the servers right now cant handle RPing, then I doubt the hundreds of TV people will.

If we did that, we'd have to have an invite-only server, where you need to take an RP test or something.

those armies were great, you dont need all hardcore rpers, you just need some rpers for ideas, and some regular players to follow along :)

It dosn't really have to be a TV Commerical just any way of advertising I just wanna see this great game become more known because I do understand what you mean about more newbies=pkers and such but if We get more people Stefan gets more money is more motivated to make better quality servers and get better staff and such so there are many pros and cons to make a game a small based population to a very big player based population

ROFL! I can't imagine a commercial for Graal. That would have to be one of the dumbest commercials ever. If there ever is one, give me a notice so I can see it when it happens.

It's hard enough contacting stefan or unixmad now, let alone if the playerbase is quadrupled.. you would get a reply to your question in approximately 2 years. :p

Commercials won't help if the game would get a rating of 1\10 in reviews ;P

Add that to however long you think you want it to be.

Stefan and UM could wear mini skirts and dance around while singing songs in german and french then at the end it goes to a black screen and says...

A man in a bad midevil costume is climbing this rock while the narrator explains. RP in the new world of graal online, with adventure, guilds, and many kingdoms to join. Can you become a graalian? (At this point the man finishes climbing the rock, then someone with a giant sword whacks him off the cliff)

I believe commercials are hundreds/thousnads of dollars per second? That is if you arnt advertising on PB at 3am.
