Considering they don't have 2 gigahertz Laptops yet, I have to laugh at you. A lot.

Secondly, it was 27 dollars for a year. They raised the price by 12 dollars, big freaking deal.

I've said it before and I've said it again:

Would you prefer Graal, or Graal going out of business?

Boozy_Bravo 02-08-2002 01:59 PM

I don't see why everyone's making a big deal out of an extra 10 dollars, especially considering how cheap Graal is when compared to other online games.

Most of the time i'm not sure about that question :(

Kaimetsu 02-08-2002 02:01 PM

It's still not much money. Anybody with a job earns that in a single day.

Feather_Light 02-08-2002 02:01 PM

ahem it was an exaggerashun
also, how can graal go out of business?
to be serious, im not playing around, what is the money going to and how is it helping to make Graal better?
hmm, i guess its for their time then =/

nyghtGT 02-08-2002 02:02 PM

I get paid about that much a day. But I'll start upgrading accounts for free for some people for a few months ...

It's to buy server space from cyberjourer I think. And graal can EASILY go out of business, but sometimes I wish it would. :(

Really simple: You don't understand internet mechanics.

Graal, a game that supports thousands of players, needs server space and bandwidth.

Server space and bandwidth cost money. So does an office and a place to house those servers.

So does paying the five employees of Cyberjouers.

The money goes to keeping Graal alive, online, and the five staff members motivated and working.

Then get off your lazy ass and GET a job.

I'm 15 too, I work just like my mother and grandparents.

I earn my own money so that I can have the freedom to buy what you want.

I make ninety to one hundred and forty dollars in a single day's work. Granted, it's backbreaking heavy labor, but it is still money, and I get physically fit doing it.

Go out. Get a job. Get a LIFE.

It was difficult as hell to get the job I'm at now, it's the only one that fit into my school schedule and stuff.

I was going to work at Old Navy or Mervyn's, but it didn't work out because of school. So now I work more elsewhere and get paid less.

Haha.

You're at University, though. That's an exception; having a job during college/uni years is a bit different than simply going out and earning a bit of pocket change. It's optional if you're going to a local place. Of course, if you move far from home, like, cross-country or internationally, a job is a must unless you have friends who'll let you sponge from them. I know firsthand.

I'm gonna be going to college soon and need to get a job, but I have been trying for a month or 2 now. Worked at K-Mart for the season, but was layed off because I was only there for the Christmas season.

Yeah, I'm at a local place (if "local" involves 3 hours of travelling every day) so I'm still staying at home with my family etc. Free food, a free bed and a computer that I can usually get some time on. What more could I need?

Understandable.

Try looking in the paper or for odd jobs, talk to your friends, etc.

My mom got me working at my current place, a high end catering company that goes all around southern to middle California doing parties, etc., I normally do all of the labor that sets up the parties, while my mom actually works at them.

I make about 7.50 an hour, and I generally work weekends(when I'm needed, not every weekend), for about 9 to 10 hours.

3 hours is still local, hehe. My stepbrother goes to the University of California at Santa Barbara, which is about an hour away. He refuses to live at the dorm there, due to problems he had the last time he stayed there.

But, there's no problem staying with your folks if it's local; once you graduate you can go out and get a better job than you'd get normally.

There is a new Hampton Inn opening near me, and I'm going to apply at my local movie theater soon along with looking in the pennysaver for jobs.

Heh, a good friend of mine works at Old Navy, she's gonna be manager soon, so she was gonna put a good word in for me, but I ended up having to drop the idea because of school. It was a bummer, I could have made, like, 10 to 11 dollars an hour, working five days a week, 6 hours a day.

If you're comfortable working in an abysmal environment at Minimum wage, go and work at McDonald's. Unless you plan to manage one someday or get into the restaurant or fast food business, it's not worth it to work there, honestly.

They have a point; study now, and get a better job in the future with the knowledge you gain. But go out and get a heavily part time job so that you can still have money.

You shouldn't be playing Graal at 2 in the morning, nor put off your homework for TV or Graal. I hate television.

Dunno what a Hampton Inn is, but go for it.

Working at movie theaters is always good; moderately good pay, usually good hours, and you can theater hop if you're lucky and see movies for free. Hehe.
