Quick question/help.
 

I'll delete this thread when it's fixed.

I uninstalled my Half-Life because my console didn't work (if anyone knows how to help with this...) and reinstalled it. It won't let me connect to TFC because I seem to have an outdated version...

I've upgraded at least twice now, restarted once. What's wrong, if anyone knows?

I'd also like console help. How'd you get yours to work if pressing ` didn't pull it up, or whatever it does? (Files, etc.)

considering this is not graal related....but who cares

in your half life shortcut, right click and go to properties

then it will show the address to the shortcut, and if it isnt already, put it in quotes. after that, put -console into it
(example:this is how mine looks: "E:\Counter-Strike\paladin.exe" -console only because i installed paladin) about your tfc problem, do you even have the tfc addon?

Either get it upgraded by that cendant software upgrader thing or if that didn't work you'll have to sign up for a spyware account and download it from a site

Yes, I have the addon on the CD (it came with it.) For console to work, do I need to have an icon for Half-Life on my desktop? Can I just run it through my C:\Windows\Program Files\Sierra\Half-Life folder?

Er, well, which version is the latest of half-life?
1108, or 9?

you need a shortcut from the desktop, or anywhere else

ok then, go to http://www.counter-strike.com and download the full retail upgrade, its 80mb, but its the only way to make it work....also make sure you get the english version
first time i got it from some foregn site and it didnt work, wasted my 1 hour

Now all I need is a new upgrade patch. What's the latest version? .9 or .8? Which one do you have?

Half-Life is like
1.0.0.8 for me.

well they dont make half life patches anymore, and my counterstrike came with tfc...and everyone used the 1.3 patch

if you download the patch, you will get counterstrike+new version of the game

Nevermind.

I checked my CS and Half-Life folder (I made it to store the cs exe and patches,) and it came with the update patch. It should work.
