Moshi Moshi

Touristing japan is sweet and fun. I've been to so many places. Himeji, Nara, Kyoto, and Osaka. Going to Tokyo today for a week. I've been to 2 wacked out Japanese Rock band concerts. Basically, they're really indies bands but hey. Cali-Gari ruled and i gots me a wristband =). I saw lots of stuff in Kyoto. Himeji-jo in Himeji. The gigantic buddha in Nara. And i went to Sony Tower and the Aquarium in Osaka. The aquarium was cool and Sony Tower had LOADS of super high tech cool stuff that i would buy if i was a millionaire. I'm so getting a clie. BTW if any of you go to japan MAKE SURE you don't get on the last train of the night. THAT IS HELL!!!!!!! my god that was horrible. There wasn't any seats so about 30 people were stuffed in the little section between cars. GAH and here me and my sis were with 2 huge luggage bags and about 3 bags of souviners that wouldn't fit in the luggage. gah that sucked. well thats just a bit of what i've done here so far. I just thought i would post since i'm bored here at my sister's apartment. (I had to stop here and drop off my souvenirs so far cuz some are pretty good size and i plan on buying lots of CD's toys and anime goods in Tokyo. btw sushi is good!!!!! so is rice and curry i love that stuff. Well w00t. BTW hi kyle (told you i would say hi from japan).

Lugie 12-29-2001 10:39 AM

Asuka 12-29-2001 11:43 AM

I only went to see Cali-Gari 2 times. In 2 different cities (osaka and nagoya) We were supposed to see 3 others but we got back too late. Sight seeing is so fun. But we might see Buck Tick for New Years. It depends on what we find out thats going on in Tokyo for New Years. As for the wooden shoes i bought a pair for my brother. They don't look comfy though =\.

Wanna know a funny thing about shoes in japan? The majority of shoes in japan come in 3 sizes. small medium and large. its weird.

That's because they AREN'T. :) Trust me, I've tried them. My mum and my sis went to Japan for a 2 week homestay a few years ago with my school, and my sis went again this year. I got loads of souvenirs from it. :D

Asuka 12-29-2001 12:02 PM

It's cool though the Japanese are big with gifts. My sis told me they liked individually wrapped food so i bought some little debbie christmas cakes. Well when i got there the Board of Education at my sister's school gave me a gift so i gave them the cakes. It turned out they gave me a super cool watch and i gave them food i felt bad =( but my sister said it was ok.

Nastazio 12-29-2001 12:03 PM

You guys will never guess what CD's i bought in Osaka. I found Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, Los Del Rio (macarena guys), and New Kids on the Block CD's for less than $2 a piece so i bought them in perfect condition w0000000t. I bets you all jealous =)

heh. is that the big one? because if it is, then you could most likely fit up it's nostril, y'know. ;)

Asuka 12-29-2001 12:30 PM

Yea thats the giant one in Nara. And they had this big like pillar with a cut out the size of his nostril and if you could fit through it you would have good fortune. Though it is a big nostril i couldn't fit through it and a bunch of asian kids had a tough time. Not as easy as people think.

heh. My sister fitted through it, and she's 3 years older than me. I could most likely fit through it too, I'm small. :)

Asuka 12-29-2001 12:40 PM

I'm not fat but i have really wide shoulders. My clothes are loose a lot cuz i have to usually get a XL so that my shoulders are comfy =(

Iracious 12-29-2001 01:31 PM

not all things. for example, over in Japan a steak would cost a LOT more than in the US or Australia.

12-29-2001 01:40 PM

I could fit through, I fit through this tiny hole in a jungle gym last week :D

well for media things it is, like music. in china it is too. what they do is charge you for the material the stuff is on, rather than the talent that is on it.

grim_squeaker_x 12-29-2001 07:01 PM

If you can understand Japanese try getting a mobile phone there, the capabilities they have there for those things are astounding.

Yes, they are. But. They wouldn't work for you. My sister was going to get one over there, but she couldn't, because it wouldn't work back in australia.

Zulithe 12-29-2001 07:41 PM

Hi Asuka! Glad you're having fun on your trip :)

Tin Man 12-29-2001 09:32 PM
