Yes you can. Go to the Graal website, log in, go to Change your Info, and go down to passwords. Type in the new password you want, and press enter. I really like this :D

however the website password changer is down

Tsion 11-29-2001 11:27 AM

TRUE, yes this is true, it started on classic, (i'm a gp on classic) hell raven got all the staff's ip addresses on rc and is able to corrupt our ip on the RC. Then all this crap started where someone revealed all the accounts on graal, i seriously doubt this part of the story, but I do believe the only ones in danger are the staff, even g2k1 staff.

hmm that clears some things up

KJS 11-29-2001 11:37 AM

it is true...

_0AfTeRsHoCk0_ 11-29-2001 11:48 AM

Stefan would have commented on this if it was true.

Shorty2Dope 11-29-2001 11:52 AM

I have heard alot of people saying its true.. whether its true or false stefan should say something about it, so people are not worried..

Zulithe 11-29-2001 11:58 AM

This is true, it is very very true, change your passwords and forum password ASAP if you have not done so in the last 24hours

All account passwords were cracked from the graal website, along with other valuable customer information like address, phone number, etc

_0AfTeRsHoCk0_ 11-29-2001 12:00 PM

:(
I wish Stefan would hurry up and say something. Should I trust Eric to change my password for me?

Calm down... you can trust Er1c, yes you can trust him, you can also trust Zorro, log onto Classic and look for Er1c or Zorro and get them to change your password for you.

Don't panic, just do it ASAP

Birdbird_0 11-29-2001 12:14 PM

Yes, very true, :(,

Did they get access to our CC numbers?

BocoC 11-29-2001 12:17 PM

Dis no good

aires_graal 11-29-2001 12:20 PM

whoa wait a minute

This is bull! I just got an upgraded account 2 weeks ago and now im at risk of people knowing my moms credit card number? What kind of ass would do that...... Everyday something happens that makes me regret getting a p2p account

Zulithe 11-29-2001 12:26 PM

To my knowledge NO credit card information or other payment information was hacked. You do not need to worry about that end of things... I am 99% sure of this

aires_graal 11-29-2001 12:28 PM

i hope so

My mom has barley any money as it is, if that were stolen...... we would probably be kicked out of our house, she can barley pay the electric bill

Fidel Castro 11-29-2001 12:28 PM

doesn't really bother me, all my account info is false anyway

since some other kid upgraded it :)

ok first of all they dont have anyones address, nor phone number

here is what the file looks like

KJL:T09FZ.U3AT/5U:[email protected]:0:0:0:all:0000-00-00 00:00:00:::

and the password part is encrypted

I do not have the files but people have been tell me what it looks like and showing my name

TrueHeaT 11-29-2001 12:29 PM

yeah but they can decrypt the password silly.

ZanderX 11-29-2001 12:29 PM

PHPNuke sucks. :T

KJS 11-29-2001 12:30 PM

oh yea and from what I hear they got access to all graal files like

g2k2
and different scripts and stuff...

this is stuff I am hearing from people

TrueHeaT 11-29-2001 12:30 PM

yes they did. and the moral of this story is phpnuke is not good.

heh

first of all, yes they do have addy and phone number information, and MORE, I have seen the file that has this information, trust me it IS REAL. My information was in it too, and I was not happy

the account/password information is in a seperate file as it is stored in a different part of the database apparently

I posted something about it on the playerworlds forum.
It's not a big problem if you have a random passwords,
but for some playerworld staff it is a problem, also
if oyu have changed your password with the new
website password changer (yes we have disabled
some scripting functionality temporary).
Basicly the encrypted passwords were spoofed, so
the hackers can do brute force (trying all possible
passwords, encrypt it and check if it equals) which
only helps for simple passwords.
We do backups of the accounts often so in case
players accounts are hacked by that way we can restore
it, sorry for those problems, it's not happening often,
it's quite impossible to 100% protect a computer system
especially when there is a big group of hackers
trying to hack/crash everying 24/7. The servers and
website are quite secure but with the new website
there were a lot of new things and scripts uploaded.

We don't know anything about the credit card numbers,
only the bank knows them, so we cannot store them
and so we cannot give them out.

great! eric changed my pass and e-mail for me. i got my account back. but i lost everything on it. my gralat, my npc's and anything else. will i get my stuff back? someone needs to look at the log files for today, the 28th. i had over 7.7k and 30 hats. i didn't get my account upgraded so hackers could steal my parents CC and hours and hours of gameplay could be thrown away.

Admins 11-29-2001 12:49 PM

Um yes I will fix it, your account is one of the 3 accounts that
have actually been changed by the hackers.
