V2.1 linking problems: Please report
 

Some people told me they have problems with
the linking, sometimes they are like invisible or outside the
screen. If it happens to you and you can someone
repeat the bug, then please report it here,
because for me it works perfectly, so please help
me find out this problem.

nothing to do with that problem but another problem for me
when i press alt+enter to go into full screen mode my screen flickers then it becomes fullscreen, but i can only see blackness and sometimes if im luck i get to see the ASD bar too. :(

Problem with the light effects? Does it still happen when direct3d is disabled in the graal options?

no its not the lught effects
its the full game
it becomes black and i have to restart graal before t works again

it seems to be fixed with version 2.1.2
whatever you changed fixed it

On my server, this problem only affects the staff accounts. You leave a level (touch a link) and you just disappear. You can hear things happening in the level you're trying to go into, but you still see the level you are trying to leave.

I have this problem.....

ok when i try to go into a level my guy disappears and im in the same level, but can hear my self moving around.
but when i restart graal im in that level i was tryin to go to.
Also when i start in fullscreen mode, all i can see in the level i start is the level itself excluding all the players including myself.

any way to fix this?

When does it happen? Always in all levels?

I have found a problem with npcs that are not
deleted when you reconnect with F8, don't know
if that explains that error.

Sounds like problems with being out of memory.. i used to get this same thing back in version 1.28beta2..

When this happens, leave the Graal window, and re-enter, do you get a popup saying some 'exception' or 'fault' has happened in graal?

With the new versions I can see lights alot better but when Lights Added with SetEffect I get a black screen :(

Stefan if it's a npc problem then check 1mainserver.graal from UN , because there happens often. Some people get it everywhere though.

2.1 really lagged me, I don't know what's wrong. I have 450 mhz, 184 mb of ram and cable and I lag on classic. I never use to lag with 120mb of ram. I don't know what's going on, I disabled light effects and automapping and i still lag. Makes me real mad cause now I'm gonna have to upgrade my comp again so I can fight on classic.

Providence has that alot near whisp island! it happens to me every time i swim over there.

:( i noticed that problem when you go to another level and you hear the others walking and you walking, but the screen freeze and you dont see you moving.

it happenned to me somethimes(2 times) when i entered in a level, it was on graal 2001 server.

one was when i entered on market place.

PS: on enigma e never saw it, and when i disabled d3d it dont happen on graal 2001.

That always happens to me... Whenever it's full screen and I try to switch to a different program, it says Canvas does not allow something, then goes black

And also I can only see lighting effects when graal is maximized.

maybe disabling using direct X 7 on options help you.

New Update: Both my Staff account (Andor_Admin1) and my player account (BrandonVM2001) are always affected by this bug, but for some reason, it only happens on Andor. I just disappear, if I warpto the level I was trying to leave, I show back up again, but in order to change levels, I have to leave a level, close Graal, reopen it, then I'm in the level I was trying to go to. And it's all levels.

=) providence is special though

they alter how you swim

if you hold ctrl and swim you get warped all over the place.

take a look at providences levels...there are cliffs right out in the midle of the sea!

Um I have tried to get that error for several hours,
but no sucess. The only problem if found is that the
computer where unholy nation/providence/andor
are running on was quite slow and sometimes level
loading took some time, but there was no bug.
May be you have some bad files in your Graal folders,
don't know

Ah yes: forgot to say that on providence no one could
show me those buggy levels, on andor i got jailed for
impersonating me (and warpto is not possible because
of npcs warping you back)

Many people have been getting it. Not only on Unholy Nation. Like Lyndzey (hope you read this so you can fill in) she said everywhere but Classic and Graal2001 she gets the problem.
It is a level loading bug, and it might be due to that npc problem. Try releasing that version and see if the problem goes away.

and yes Unholy Nation has been sometimes lagging out somewhat. Maybe the levels arent downloading fully and are trying to load up and it causes error?

No the machine was slow, we will soon fix it.
I have released v2.1 revision3, please test it
with that version. If the problem still happens then we need
to make some time where we meet to find the problem,
because I don't want to waste some hours searching
for the error and not finding nothing again :(

It happened to me on Classic today when I tried going through the CC quests. The first thing that happens when I go on servers is M doesn't work so I can't see the map. When I get PMs, I can't click on them, so I have to open F7 and can't read toalls. Normally, after walking around a bit, I go invisible.

Yes, that is EXACTLY what is happening to me. Also, when I close Graal, I get an error, the exact same one each time:

Access violation at address 0040318E in module 'GRAAL.EXE'. Read of address FFFFFFFF.

Why hasnt Graal been working today for me? I cant get onto the website thus it wont let me onto the game. It cant connect to the server. All the other programs and sites I used are working. I have about 3 days left on my account and am wondering If I should upgrade? I wont if I cant play graal theres no point.

Hi, I dont know if anyone reported this yet but here it is.
I cannot put guild tags in my nickname I know I did it right I got into a guild, set my nick, and had a database created, but it still wont work. This is very annoying cause when I recruit for my guild no one thinks its real cause the tag wont work. I am the co-leader of Psycoz, I was in Phalanx, The Mafia, and many more, but none of my tags work. How should I go about fixing this problem?

My problem is semi related to this thread, i think.

I made a map using f4->m and it layed it out wrong. Now there is like a centimeter too much to the left side of my map, and if you walk to the edge of the level, your character disapears (on the map). That really stinks :(

Anyone checked rev3 yet?

i got that one day with 2.1 (no rev)
i didn't got that bug on rev3.
except for "canvas didnt allow draw"
when i changed to another account using F8 when on server list. (i was playing on 2001 changing to another account to another server (Enigma))


only on full screen it happened. windowed it works.

Same thing happens with Revision 3 :(

Where do I get rev3?
do I download graal again?

1 small question....
If i reinstall graal will it fix these linking problems stefan is talking about?

also when i installed 2.1 it was fine but then all of a sudden i exp. these linking levels glitches
again plz reply if u can help.....?

yes it happens to me.....i walk into a level....IM invisible and cant see myself and i cant like link to the next part of the outside level

e.g in level......outsidea-1.graal then walk to while invisible to level outsideb-1.graal it wont link......
and theres also this other problem i found in graal 2.1. Every now and then while im in level editor (sometimes while playing) and i either while in level editor i click to the nect level(on that level selector on the top) the screen were u put the tiles an npc's on goes black and u can only see npcs and it comes up with a message which i forget wat it say and i have to press alt+ctrl+del to exit out......its really annoying



dont forget the linking invisible problem :)

while checking the problem for
a Graal2002 linking problem I saw the
problem, it also happened to me when
logging in to Bravo
(problem with player position being negative when
linking, underflow effect, so your x/y position is like 247)
