WTF does it do when "Recording" offline with alt+6 ???? why wont it save an avi or something = (
but it would be cool to make online videos too ; ) |
Blah.
Pres alt+6 to start recording, end recording with alt+7 then check in your levels directory (In your graal directory of course ;)) and look for a text file with the name recordpos.txt, just drag that into your Graal window (While the editor is open) and you'll have an NPC which does exactly what you recorded with it.
|
oh ok, i thought it would record the game = | saving it as an AVI, that would be cool = )
|
Haha, yeah that'd be cool too, then we could make demonstration movies for things ;)
|
it would be a lot easier to get items that way too
|
So that's what it did!! I never knew that, thanks Grim!
|
Yep. Alt+6 was very useful the one time I used it. :)

Wow.
|
With this, I can concentrate on other NPCs than the one I tried to make that walked around town manually :(
|
Huzzah?
Manually? Manually, oh god that sucks.
|
For npcs walking through towns I have
some optimized script, with the 'waytracker' npc you record the movements (only when you change direction) then you can type in the values into an array in the script. The npc reads those values and goes exactly the same way (but doesn't stop in the middle and don't use sword or so, but that could be added too). |
Well...
I don't know what the hey index and values are, and why are there x and y in hitplayer!?

Also, I would not suggest using Alt+6 to make npcs move. It uses sleep and sleep = no no. But anyway go ahead I don't care. |
sleep and sleep is big yes yes
