for any of you bored with all the current playerworlds, I would suggest going to Atlantis. I find myself with nothing to do so I was looking at all the PWs and I would say Atlantis is the most fun. It maybe German but atleast its fun to play on hehe

yup, its my new favorite server, and im in german class at school so I can communicate a little bit. I met a very nice German girl on there who was teaching me some stuff.

Atlantis is the only server other than Providence, Faheria, and 2001 that have ok levels.

the levels suck, well most of them. But its still the most fun server...

na there is a big problem at Atlantis at the moment:
only few really good Level Makers or scripters because the Co Owner just kicked most of them (she doesn't like to be critized) so there is a lagg of new Quests or Levels...
I wanted to rebuild the overworld-map but because I had to do many other things I didn't have the time to do it...
um and @ Philipp he doesn't like Atlantis because Atlantis doesn't like him ;)

Atlantis was a project started long ago, planned to be a 1.28 server, but then those servers became illegal, so we ("Planetgraal" (some silly, currently offline, German Graal site) team) stopped working on it. Later, when people could submit PWs, Pirat started working on it and got it online, with quite different staff. The level design already sucked back then, but it was fun there because of the community, and there were lots of updates. But then, the updates slowly stopped, and staff became lazy.
Luckily, later, NewAtlantis, made by Ivie Azuran, who became Co-Owner, was put online, it had a much larger overworld (and finally, the levels weren't looking that silly), and cool quests, it's own tileset (better than the new G2k1 one in my opinion), a very organized guilds and playerhouses system, economy stuff and jobs, many events, and a good staff. Fun times.
Sadly, those fun times stopped when Pirat, the owner, "married" his GF Killah Babe (I think just for using that name, you should get on the never-talk-to-them list). Pirat said "just because I married her, she won't become GP". But cool and hard working staff members, like Fry, were fired just because Killah disliked them (and otherwise), Killah became GP (against the will of the GPs and GP Chief Agelaos), later even GP Chief I believe. Newbies were hired in staff positions (not to say newbies are bad, but they should not be running a server), even a new staff group was created that basically did the GPs' job.
NewAtlantis became more and more unpopular, when Pirat, along with some original Atlantis staff members made one of the worst decisions possible: NewAtlantis was taken down, the few good staff members which weren't fired before were kicked now, accounts were reset... and "OldAtlantis" with all it's incredibly bad levels (besides the two one in starting town I made :) ... oh wait, it's like the only town that has any players or content in it :() was back.
Ivie was fired ("You never were co owner on old atlantis"), silly people were hired. There were like two real quests, most of the world wasn't accessible. The overworld was just a bunch of crappy levels, which have no real connection to each other, all cliffs and stuff is cut off at a level border. Trees were mostly just a line at the top or bottom of a level. But still, there was quite a community and events.
But now, it's just crap. Killah Babe is co owner, although very few people like her. Staff is really screwed, levels still suck, LAT is only working on new staff stuff, like even more complex GP boots. Cheating is out of control, aswell as PKing (I know it's not really bad, but it is if all the people are doing nothing else besides it).
But all those players cannot speak English very well, or do not want to pay, so they are staying on Atlantis. Silly players. I hope someone will put up a good German PW in near future. It would be a shame to lose all those Graal players.

Summary: Better don't play there.

The real hope for the German community is Otherworld. The Overworld is great and all hand-made...
For Atlantis it was the worst desicion ever to put New Atlantis down and use the old levels. Pirat said "New Atlantis wasn't my server". He just rebuild some of the old levels and they were worse then before. You can say he is like Ice Pick... not building any levels or doing anything else. Nearly everyone who was really good was fired cause of Killah Babe. She even told me one Level Loriel rebuild (I think it looks great) looks bad but she likes the style of guys you can only laugh about. I wanted to hire someone who in my opinion is a good level Maker but because she dislikes him he wans't hired. So I think in the next 2-3 month Atlantis will go down cause of the owners stupidity....

I kind of liked Atlantis when I tried it very long ago, the only problem was thjat my German sucks, and I'm not much better now.

I started playing Atlantis when it was first up, I made good friends with this guy named GERMAN REBEL, and they had this cool DJ station. One quest was fun, you had to go into this church-type place and if you had this one item and you touched the priest or something it turned into the quest.
