Who is in charge right now? Since Gabblox left I haven't seen anyone step up as manager or even had a PWA come online and leave a message that they're looking for someone or what their plans are. We have some new admins in the player activities department (godzilla as GA and GeorgeC as ETA) but haven't heard anything about new content or seen an increase in activity.

What are the plans for the server?

It's been dead for like 2 years; the management fail train is getting into the double-digits now since they're putting Duos of people in charge.

Nothing significant has happened since the Tim > MD management change.

Should just merge with iEra at this point. Unless Blue or Alf would consider the position, though I doubt they have the time.

I thought MD was supposed to do a better job than my team?

I bet MD writes all his scripts in ms paint.

Godzilla having a staff position makes me glad I quit this game...

Also at this point I'm all for the merger. I feel like pc players should be able to carry over a portion of their wealth though so no one is too upset.

Yeah this is I think the biggest issue when considering a merge. A lot of guns/items on each server are not found on the other and even if they are they aren't identical stats wise (BAR, M4, handgun, melees to name a few)
Would this have to be handled on a case by case basis or is there a way we could calculate each players "net worth" and then translate that into a "base package" for when they start iera?

Don't have to give them anything as far as compensation. Perhaps refund gelat items (potions) for half-price and then just replace the server. Era content hasn't had any worth in like 2 years.

I would say grant tokens for every 100k of a players worth. Weapons being based on pawn prices, and nothing exceeding 5 tokens. The tokens would then be redeemable for around half of the translated value of 100k on iera.

Why reduce their wealth to pawn prices then half it? I don't really see any detriment to giving PC players comparable stuff to what they had on PC if they're going to only have the option of playing the iphone server. Hell, USDing is legal on iphone as long as you buy from graal and it doesn't harm iEra players if there are more active players that have pretty good guns.

In the end I don't see a lot of players continuing to play if their wealth is dissolved.

Since when are developers responsible to upload playermade content?

They've got rights, I usually did uploads if I was bored.

The biggest highlight to this game is being able to upload your own personal playermade content to the game, something not many other games have these days.

I remember Pristontale you used to be able to upload your own Clan Icon.

Yes, but why do developers have to do this? they have to create content, not manage minuscule playermade stuff (heads/bodies)

thats clearly the job of a PR or Quality Assurance

And that is entirely that attitude that leads into nothing ever getting done

Until there is a team that truly acts like a team, and players that aren't bored if they aren't constantly handed new things this game will never thrive again. It's over, we had a good run honestly. 13 years is amazing for a game like this. Practically everyone that still plays does so because they already put so much into it, we started when we were like 12 and we're all in our twenties now.

Just let it die, there is no hope. We will never thrive again without proper advertisement and a way to get new players actively wanting to participate. And that's another thing. We as old players shut all the new players down mercilessly, which causes them to give up and leave. How would they ever feel like they stood a chance against anyone that's played for over a decade/close to one. Never letting them join gangs, or helping them to learn really pushes them away.

that has nothing to do with team, sure, flexibility is important when theres nobody else online that is normally responsible for those duties, but this is the whole point of this thread

if a developer, in its creative process, is distracted by little things all the time, thats when nothing is getting done

it has happened to me many times even though i tried to avoid it, simple things like "hey elk can you fix my head/can you make me a head" can cause pure chaos inside of me, its causing a chain-reaction

the most annoying thing someone can do though when im working is asking "can you warp me to you" "what are you working on"

I'll save the soppy post, I quit and I wasn't going to hoard my position like I've seen done time and time again throughout the years.

I have a lot of things to focus on in real life and unfortunately Era takes me away from that, so I eliminated it.

Hopefully the development of the system I out-lined will be done but It's a shame I won't get to see it any time soon.

Why even waste time on gangs? The most popular activity on Era is idling.
