I'm generating ideas, and I want to know what your guy's favorite '2d beat'em up' game.... like Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, etc.

Also, What is your favorite classic arcade in general?

Details would be appriciated :D

Never been a fan of beat'em up' style games but favorite classic = Galaga :)

Never heard the term before. Only game I play these days is graal.. but there nothing to do on GK, and I did everything on GTA... so my game play experience is on hold :( untill iZone is PC available...

A modern example is Castle Crashers, which I'm sure you've heard of.

Oh yes, that surely was fantastic.

River city ransom. Killer controls and some very quirky rpg elements tossed in.

Guardian Heroes is good but obscure and expensive and a pain to emulate Sega Saturn games (or atleast it used to be)

My favorite beat-em-up is actually Ganon's Castle from ALTTP. The game actually switches focus from puzzle-solving to straight pure action for the entire dungeon, which is the only time I ever remember that happening in a Zelda game.

As for your second question, my favorite classic arcade game in general? It might actually be The Simpsons.
