almost 2 months have passed and i still can't set my nick to Tk since it's not 3 characters long...my new nick name will be tKKK, i realise this might seem offensive in the eyes of era's african-american community (its ghetto) so can't you just take this rule off? it only applies on era, i can use as many characters as i desire on other servers

He said "Tk.", the period is obviously implied in the nick.

The system checks for a minimum length of readable characters. That's only letters and numbers.

it's a pretty stupid limitation, and the staff of era should feel bad for implementing it.

given my limited knowledge of the server i believe it was done solely to **** with bloodykiller.

The point was to disallow nicknames used to hide behind trees, something like ` or similar. The minimum, therefore, are three alphanumerical characters. Then again, you could also blame the problem on low font sizes, or just ignore it all together.

Who even hides behind trees anymore? My nicknames are limited to 3 characters regardless and I very rarely see a random guy behind a tree. Granted it is also winter and you can see through trees, but if you hold down '2' the HP display allows you to see people behind trees... which is still a very rare thing anymore for this change to be happening now.

Causes more fuss than needed. Whoever coded it probably ran into a claymore/person behind a tree and cried.

Like there were already so many unique ways to kill people, you had to go and strip our rights to hide and create ambushes! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

lol yeah I remember when people used to use transparent/invisible heads/bodies and no nickname and hide behind trees to kill people. lolol

Personally, wanted it done because I hated see'ing spam nicknames like "<space>*100 ." or "aaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssssdddddddddddddfffffffff fffffffff"

How does a minimal nickname limit have anything to do with a longer nickname? o_O Also bloodykiller, you sound very ignorant claiming that you setting your name to "tKKK" is "very ghetto". Gain some knowledge.

symbols like ' don't even count as characters with this new system, so can't you just set the "minimum characters" to 1 or 2? you'd still have to include a letter with the symbols
