How reset will work
 

A question I'm asked often is whether or not players will be reset once more upon Classic going live.
I now feel it is a good time to announce publicly that accounts which have not logged on throughout the previous 6 months will automatically have their quest progress reset, whereas accounts which have logged on within the previous 6 months shall be given a one time only option to decide for themself.

This reset only applies to quest progress. Spar and event statistics, options and preferences etc are retained.

How will the reset work?

What advantage is there for a "returning" person (ie: has played within the last six months) to accept a reset? To be able to do it again with friends/people?

I'm not sure exactly, but as far as resetting those who haven't logged on within the past 6 months go, I've noticed a lot of players both new and old that have been thrown out of loop simply due to the fact the quests have been released gradually over a large period of time.

For all the fools who didn't notice,^that was merely a troll. Funny because 2 people negative repped me for it lol

I bet some people would want to play the story from the start so its good to give them the option.

I agree with you until you state this tidbit here, If trolling is an art, then finger painting is a professional sport. The act of trolling itself is not art, but rather yet the wordplay from said troll is performed. Because I know how people like to pursue these kinds of replies, I just want to stress, I'm not trying to argue, just giving my two cents on that statement alone.

On topic though, I actually really like the idea of giving players the choice of resetting or not within the stated criteria, it allows players a chance to play with those who didn't play with them, as well as allow them the choice to merely enjoy and start fresh. +rep Thor.

If you want examples on trolling look at 99% of my posts. In one thread I made it look like I felt bad for theatres because of the Aurora shootings and people ate that up! Idiots.

It turns out I made a mistake which means everyone has unfortunately lost their quest progress. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

The resets themself worked fine though, so spar/event/options etc are retained.

Graal really needs to move into the 21st century. Why don't we have accessible backups yet? *glares at Stefan*

Protected for life. Never doing the quests ever again, they were the worse part about classic.

Exactly my reaction as well. It's all made 10x harder with iPeople running around racking up kills though :asleep:

Yeah, most alot of them are from UN just trolling us. Very few iPlayers tho. Nice to see alot of players on PC servers. UN didn't get nearly hit as hard as anyone thought they would.
