New Bounty System
3 New Bounty Types
New bounty types don't need to be accepted for them to be taken from players. The first person to kill someone with a new type of bounty will get the bounty. (these would be IN ADDITION to the current bounty system.) Chain Bounties: Every $100 earned from PKing puts a $500 chain bounty on your head (denoted by a skull with chains on it). whoever kills you gets the $500, and the bounty jumps to them for $400, and then $300 and so on. Each time a chain bounty is taken, it jumps to the bounty hunter for $100 less until it drops to $0 and disappears. If you spend more than 15 minutes in a PK zone without being killed, you receive your own bounty, it drops down $100, and the timer resets. (repeats until it disappears.) Gang Bounties: Every 25 gang points you get, a $1000 bounty is put on your head (denoted by a red skull). If an opposing gang member (meaning a gang tag is required) kills you, the $1000 is split between everyone on tag in their gang. if you spend more than 5 minutes on tag in a pk zone, the bounty is shared between your gang members on tag. Juggernaut Bounties: Every 30 minutes, a $1000 bounty is put on a random player's head (denoted by a black skull). (Only selects players that are in PK zones.) Whoever has the bounty on them gains regenerating armor (up to 25 armor max) and receives 5x the amount of money they would normally get for kills. If you spend 10 minutes in a PK zone without dying, the bounty goes away. You don't receive anything besides the money you got from PKing. ----------------------------- in addition to the aforementioned ways of getting these bounties, people can buy Chain Bounties that can jump 3, 5, or 7 times, depending on how much is paid for them. 3 jumps = $600 5 jumps = $1500 7 jumps = $2800 People can also buy Juggernaut Bounties, but may only place them on themselves, and they cost $1000. ----------------------------- Targeted Bounties (i.e. the current bounty system) would still be the only bounties to count towards the weekly health bonus and still would require bounty hunters to accept them before killing the target. Other bounties could grant other weekly buffs to the top bounty hunter as well. |
Great idea, but they probably won't do it since they want to take money out of the economy.

I did (haven't in months) most of my mining out of necessity I say lessen the rewards because the way he has it set up right now would make it by -far- the simplest way to get a ton of money quickly. I'm all for new ways to earn money, and i'm all for revamping the WHOLE money earning system to put out more money if people think it would fix something, but Not having a bottleneck system where one method of earning money far outshines the others. You get what I mean? I rambled a little.. |

Juggernaut bounties only happen once every 30 minutes, and that equals out to 2k an hour, or barely above slot machines. It would be less money than any of the current jobs, and it would encourage PKing AND raiding. I don't see too much of a downside to it. (also, buying Chain bounties or Juggernaut bounties wouldn't have any net effect on the economy, since you're putting in and getting out the same amount. Juggernaut bounties even have the capacity to take money out of the economy.) |
My bounty system:
You go speak with the 'Hitman' he then places a bounty on any random player online at the moment. You then have to kill that person. After killing the person you then receive a cash bonus plus kill bounty points. Your kill bounty points will be sort of like a token, those with higher KB points obviously are going to receive awards (undecided at this time). You gain KB points by killing assigned targets. Aswell you lose KB points if you are killed if a target is placed onto you. The rewards will be determined by Alfonso and Zeus. I'm leaning towards certain features and upgradable options for guns such as silencers, laser scopes and whatnot. :] The system is completed now, just awaiting approval from Zeus & Alfonso. |
i like fiberwyres idea but idk if it'll be implemented. the certain thing is that the bounty system needs to change since it's basically: "hey dude can i have your bounty so i can heal 20 in beds and have extra 10hp for a week?" or: "hey dude give me ur bounty cuz im in ur gang and u dont want other gangs to get it"

What I foresee is two people hiding in some corner of the map or hidden pk area (like the parking garage/snow resort) and doing these chain bounties or whatever. Then you come to gang bounties, people would just run in circles (tk is already crying cause he can't get any friends to raid with) or run out of the base. The server already places bounties on players who get kill-streaks, or sometimes randomly if someones in a PK zone I believe. Encourage PK and raiding... for 2 weeks max (see new gang system effect). The only thing that seems fun or encouraging for this would be to buy a Juggernaut and join a long FFA or ULMS with a TG/PBP and spray. Trollol. |

Maybe you could sign up for being put on bounty via this Hitman, and if a player is selected for bounty, they will be alerted. If a player stays outside a No-PK zone long enough while on bounty without being caught, then they get a sum of money? So then you avoid the issue of player in No-PK zones.

Yeah that is why i don't like the bounty hunter system, it always seems that they are busy taking a crap in unstick me. You don't even get the bounty if you kill the bountied in spar... wtf.

You start to obtain more cash+1 extra revive on each level (5 levels total) These kill bounty points will count as your rank, and will unlock certain features never seen before on Era after each level is reached. Aswell another reward will be added to it but we are currently working on it on Era Dev.(something new we cannot disclose) :] |
So it sounds like your aim, James, is to replace the old bounty system, whereas my idea would just add to it. I don't see why we couldn't have both :)
