Era: The Statistical Code of Arms (1st Gen.)
Era will currently undergo a massive statistical rebalance of its weaponry.
The process was geared to have minimal impact on prices, however, there will be impact (unavoidable). The standard of weaponry has been changed and all weapons were statistically altered to fit these new standards. Oversight of the scheme is the creation of an all-time, Era Statistical Code of Arms. Shown below is the opening statement of the document. It can be read, in its entirety, at: http://cid-c872bed260bf7325.office.l...of%20Arms.docx Opening Statement: The following is a guideline for the creation, maintenance, and distribution of all publicized weaponry or those made with said intent upon release on Era. By definition, a publicized / intent-to-publicize weapon is that which has or is being statistically set for the direct or indirect purpose of release to the Erian general public. Weapons of such caliber must adhere to the guidelines that hereby follow. These guidelines are set for the overall discrete balance amongst Era weaponry based on price, type, rarity, purpose, and, insignificantly, realism. The weapons will hereby be broken into brackets, classes and then tiers. Each class/tier possesses very specific statistics that must be adhered to. These statistics will be set for the sole purpose of adherence to the previous basis disclosed and the overall balance of all weaponry. - Era Weapons Administration |
Finally.

Looks like you really planned everything out. Broke it down into different 'tiers' with statistical standards for future weaponry/balance. Thank you for your time and effort despite the swarm of non-supporters.
Kudos to William for finally getting his chance and running with it. /high5 Administration. |

That's the new mentality. |
itt everyone pretends they're from "old era"

These settings are actually not "old era" settings.
They're more contemporary. Old Era was MUCH slower. Ex. The minimum freeze time on Old Era for a 20 damage weapon was .15. This is .1 so this is in-between old era and now. |
This needed to be done, I think Icarus said this last night on Era in a mass.
More players quit when guns were lame and skilless than more players will quit from guns being skill oriented again. You guys just need to adjust to the gameplay, now you can't hold D and run up and down in gang bases or in spars... I know a lot of these players haven't seen the days when guns were like this, and worse than this, but learn to adjust to it. In the long run this will greatly benefit the server.... If there is a long run haha. |

Tier 1, for example, isn't as good as tier 2, and there is a major difference between tier 1 and 3. Before the problem was there was a tier system and that was: Consumer weapons, business weapons, rare weapons. Everything up to the TG and MS could be considered consumer then you had the weapons that were purposely made godly (P2Ks, Enforcer, Ravson5, Ap7s, etc.) because they were locked to businesses, such as PI, PPA and EFBI. Plus it gave leverage to business players and made even casual players and "expert" players an easy target, but in a way that made Era's ecosystem, back then, functional. Now the balancing is more friendly towards the new age but adds variety in the weapons. I welcome the change, those who don't simply are tied up in thinking about being able to run at you with a weapon, they don't like having to actually press D instead of pushing it down and also having to think of where they are going instead of having their strafe on and running up and down the map. Lastly, be happy you'll save more ammo. Happy hunting ***s. |
Indeed, and I've also tiered Gang Weapons to Tier 2.
There's no reason as to why gang or business weapons should be so far above regular weapons that they are in a tier of their own. They should provide members with a mid-grade weapon as a reward for making it into a gang. That way, you can use the gang weapon as you work to earn a higher tier weapon. In other words, gang members should have reached the point in the game to possess a Tier 2 weapon (your skill-level should warrant it). In short, this'll promote gangs even more. |

Sort of.
However, the Gang Weapons are equal to that of weapon such as: Sten, Thompson, etc etc. So a player would find an exact weapon of his/her preference in that tier that'd still equal his/her's gang gun. So it is interesting. |

guys listen... era isnt worth trying to change 1000x, its not going to be call of duty/battlefield popular, best thing to do to make more people play is make the game free!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
:3 i like this change... its awesome :3
Few things that would be nice..... Some how make it to where it would be more enticing for people that are trials, obviously there is no incentive to try to upgrade if its the same things....at least make it desirable to be p2p.....im sure youve all heard that a million times though. But the gun changes have been needed for a while and its nice to have seen them done , :P probably one of the single biggest changes to era since jenn Lmao... |

=============== Also, I agree with what Queenofheartz said, Era needed change and the best way to do that is to directly strike the gameplay appeal. The balancing will only help players in the long run, it makes it so even newer players have a chance against those who actually have a large portion of money to buy the best of the best. Anyway for the P2P the ability to perhaps purchase event items and participate in events could be a small venture that could be seen to make those want to upgrade. |
It still amazes me how graal is P2P in the first place

it's unfortunate ppl like me have access to various classic accounts whilst others need to get banned once a while for having to buy gelats in-game (2$ a day is a joke if u live in europe or maybe even america, but not in brazil or mexico)
|
