Era Reset
 

Is the Era reset still going to happen? Or was the idea canceled? It has been a long time since it was supposed to happen. Can anyone give me any information???

It is my personal opinion that Era doesn't need a reset, it just needs people to man up and make hard decisions and not be scared to change things; and, just as importantly, not be scared to change things back if the new changes don't work out.

But every time the manager changes "New Era" starts from scratch basically, and all of the old work is thrown out. So New Era will likely never be finished, or will be rushed and still have the same problems as current Era.

What's a reset going to do?

For the foreseeable future as of at the moment? Absolutely bugger all. Demisis is correct in what he said.

What's wrong with it in the first place?

era doesn't need a reset, it simply needs better and less lazy staff members (possibily not 13yrs old like swift)

Era doesn't need a reset because:

• 50%+ of the items on the server are spawned/duped.
• 50%+ of the cash on the server is spawned/duped.
• 50%+ of the players on the server are childish or just plain retarded. (you)
• 50%+ of the staff on the server suck at their respective job or in general.
• 50%+ of the content is out-dated or just bad.

Should probably say 'does' but I like the sarcastic twist.
Only the first two really apply to the reset but w/e.

Sadly, all of this is true.

Delete all the weapons that aren't the handgun, uzi, ak, or shotgun.

You don't have to make silly trades and go out of your way to acquire other pieces, everyone has access to them, so your analogy is hella dumb.

Why do people keep bringing up a reset ALL the time.. Jeez

They're stocking the guns in NPC shops now.

It was dumb before but now it's pretty ok.

Not everyone has access to a MP5 or Scar or Tommy Gun, you need two assets, the money that can cover such an expensive item, and the supply of said item, in this case all three of these guns are rare, in saying so, the owner of a good gun thats really rare most likely wouldn't sell it unless the offer was very high, or it just wasn't a very fun gun to begin with. I only see one person with a Scar for the past month+ and I don't believe he will be selling it anytime soon. So when you say everyone has access to them, only the mediocre guns that everybody is trying to merchant off of.

PoJo was talking about the chess analogy.. that everyone has access to all the pieces and on era that isn't true (if the pieces represent guns).

Do what jenn did, set a block that gives u every item. The staff team doesn't do crap but just idle, or just fool around using ganis. Heard they don't even host gang wars so what was the point of adding the new level with items for mvp points?

To tell you that not everyone has the chance to own anything due to supply under demand.

He made the new theme and a few updates, i as well made many updates, i cant get to it though anymore cause Chris' theme is screwing up the login process.

Chris made the themes and table setups.. he and myself uploaded the icons and populated 98% of the information...

You got a cute stafftag, made a page crediting yourself w/ heroicness, and added a generic 'Era IPhone' page when EIP should be kept as far away from PCE as possible.

Yesss that stafftag is really cute. The only page i made was the Era iPhone page in hopes to continue updating but I have been unable to access it for a long time. All the rest i completely updated and added (aswell as jkldogg). So we worked on all of which the old wiki lacked. Yes you had put down 98% of the information but never kept it up to date, which would make a wiki, completely useless. Then when we got ahold of the wiki to HELP in updating all the pages, you couldn't accept that and started giving us your negative attitude towards such. I mean by all means get angry because we are taking credit for keeping it up to date while others did the themes and setups. I mean its a group project, don't get your panties in a bind just because me and jkldogg worked on it. This is the 10th time you told the public that you and chris worked on it then when someone brings up the "Era Wiki Admin" signature, once again you must make yourself look like a boss. Then you go on to say to keep Era PC and Era iPhone as far away as possible, when you see the posts on this forum about iEra as well. It's all the same theme, ERA.

Era isn't a theme.
