iPhone Graal updates on pc version?
 

Stop posting them, we don't care. Put them on the Graal site or something, not the PC version of Graal.
Besides, whats the point? 90% of the iPhone players don't even know about the PC version of Graal, how are they going to see the update?

There are not alot of updates on PC version- so why not promote iPhone?

His post may come across as crude but his points are mostly true, there isn't really much of an audience for this type of thing here unless you're only trying to prove a certain point to Era's players and/or staff, whereas such publications are likely to be very effective with the likes of facebook and youtube if you're not attempting this already.

Plus you're always going to have people such as myself ridiculing the "*NEW* Hats™" updates :p.

Perhaps if there was a movement towards encouraging iPhone users to migrate to PC Graal there'd be both more updates to PC Graal and more justification for publishing these iPhone updates here.

To keep consistent with fake statistics, I'd say people don't actually care for 90% of Graal news in general. So for the sake of change might as well keep posting them.

Working on iClassic, I think it's kinda cool to see what the other servers iDevice servers are doing. :)

I have the News feeds on my 'My Yahoo' page just for the heck of it.. some of us do check it.

Not to be overly critical, but I'm going to have to agree with WaDa. I almost feel like the iphone news updates gives staff self-justification in the sense of not having to release new content to the pc. If you kept the iphone updates out, it would show how little is being done to servers here. Or at least kingdoms. Not to say staff isn't busy however. Because it's fact that staff members like Tig are working very hard on kingdoms for iphone.

I mean.. post the updates on the iPhone version of Graal where people actually care.
It's probably an excuse to show that work is being done on the PC version of Graal, so they flood it with random updates that we don't really care about; iPhone Graal updates?

The news barely has any weight as it is on Graal, let alone influence on staff and their work towards their respective servers.

There are far greater reasons for the lack of updates on Graal than stupid news articles.

Hell, a Twitter feed would be more appropriate for displaying the amount of small updates that occur on Graal instead of the articles that get posted now.

iPhone Servers are still Graal Worlds and disallowing them to post news on the login server would be wrong. Also the news from the Wiki is updated so that it will be visible on graalonline.com/news, the RSS Feed: http://www.graalonline.com/news.xml, and on the login server which is updated simultaneously. I also tweet the updates on Twitter @GraalNews. Out of this list the news is visible in five different places including the login server.

You promote them in the wrong place.

I think this is the most productive idea put forth so far.
Showing some of the PC news on the iPhone servers would help attract people to PC (Hopefully), and increase the population a good amount. Although there may be clashes between the veteran PC players and new iPhone players, it'd still be worth a shot.
It'd also justify showing iPhone news here, at least that way all news would be universal.
All considered, the only problem would be convincing the managers of the iPhone servers to agree to the idea.

Simple Resolution: Make an iPhone section where Era iPhone can post their news

Perhaps PC servers should get their news posted on iPhone Graal news feeds, as they are still Graal Worlds disallowing them to post news would be wrong.

This should be being done regardless, though, I suppose I can't blame this lack of action considering the state of PC-Graal. :(

I would say that it has made a small impact already, even with Graal's inflated prices, lack of lifetime Classic subscription being purchasable, the lack of updates and the many other problems ontop of the fact that action has not properly been attempted, it seems as if iPhone has already provided more players to PC Graal over the last year than through any other means (word of mouth being 2nd).

It is somewhat of a double-edged sword though as PC Graal would otherwise have likely have seen a better level of care from its management, and I think this is what makes it all the more frustrating when you see iPhone being promoted on the PC but not the opposite.

To clarify my post, the news doesn't just go on the login server it goes on graalonline.com, the graalwiki, graal rss feed, login server, and I tweet the link on twitter. The login server is just one out of those five places that the news is visible which would suggest that iPhone users may use one of the other methods of viewing.

There are alot of classic worlds that produce updates but don't notify the Graal News Staff.

I think the GN Staff are amazing, they're doing a great job. I do alot of updates which are not updated on Era iPhone, because there are alot we don't want to spam the news.
If you check back in 2009, I spammed an update each day on the Graal News wiki- because we could (for Era PC).

I'm trying to make Graal a better place, and thanks to iPhone- i think; Era PC has more of a player count. I don't want to cause any problems, I want Graal PC in general to achive the same player count as iPhone. I'm sorry if this is offending anyone x-x

People don't like how your "iPhone World" is taking over a section of Graal PC. It's a symbol of Graal iPhone taking over Graal PC even more.

I think Era iPhone is a fun world, though, and deserves to have its news posted often on the forums. However, since people don't like that it is "spamming" (not really, but yeah) their Era Forum that they feel should be used for other stuff, then Era iPhone should get its own subforum. (Classic iPhone could have one too, but I don't think many people would be interested in reading countless posts about the new hats in snowtown every day)

That would have to be a whole subforum in itself ;).

I personally hate how an update on Classic iPhone is a new hat. They don't seem to listen to our ideas.

Classic doesn't have an active developer to make new stuff, Era has myself for scripting on the other hand =[

and thats why you guys get stuff done. Classic iPhone's last major update was Deadwood being opened at Halloween.
