Palette Challenges! :)
 

Hey everyone,

It's time we have a real challenge thread. I will give specific palette restrictions and requirements (theme, size etc). I will try to give updates every once in a while/new challenges

Note:
-You can make more than 1 attemp/submission per challenge
-Animation are allowed, as long as they follow the rules
-You can only use the colors in the challenge's palette restrictions!
-The image size can be bigger, but not smaller

First challenge:

Dimensions: 150 x 180
Palette:Attachment 52395

Theme: Your ugly, evil, slimey creature

But that's a horrible palette..

color challenges are more fun when the shades aren't so close...

Why are all of the shades some sort of brown... except one... that's green?

Someone should do a skeleton of an image and we try to fill it in best we can.

BTW, challenges usually have a deadline.
Though now I do feel inspired to do something with few colors made out of sludge... Though I'll use my own palette sorry. :P

Challenge: Create your very own emblem for war!

Dimensions: 375 by 300
Cannot exceed this size but it may go smaller.
Due Date: 4 days (Valentines day!)

Again, setting a due date is vital..

Why does it need a deadline.. O.o It's not a contest after all. And my palette was okay :(

Why shouldn't it have a deadline? I'd say mostly because it gives an artist some incentive to work at it, Of course its not a contest but if they feel they're getting a challenge in time and in abstract color use it'll make for interesting pieces of work. Your palette would've been really good if it had more better choices of green... Because it was like two shades of green from an awesome nature portrait.

The reason I didn't put a deadline is for those newcommers. This way, they can make an attempt even if the challenge was opened, like, 2 weeks earlier. They can have a go at it if they like it this way.
