Dudoria: A new, exciting world!

Dudoria is a new RPG styled world, based around PvE and PvP fighting styles.
Currently, we are in the process of creating the gmap. It is relatively small, and already partially developted. If you would like to apply, post two pictures of outside levels, try to make one showing your landmark/detailing skills, and another of your choice.

Well...

Dudoria isn't much so far...
We have a unique tileset to work with, the world isn't far in development, but it's not going to be modern, it's going to be more of a Final fantasy deal, except you only have one person.
Eventually we're hoping to add parties, and other things like that, but right now we're only looking too hire a few LATs too finish the gmap, which consist of a few islands connected by bridges. If you work hard, and you do good, we'll keep you around to expand the world, and do the inside levels ^~^

I've got to say that "Dudoria" is by far my favorite name for a playerworld.

And that makes you want to apply

You still haven't really told anything about your world or your goals for development. I would suggest having a plan as well-thought out as possible before pandering for assistance. It lends a lot more credibility to your request, and, subsequently shows the community that you're committed to your project.

I don't even think he's the manager? Isn't Bwzae the owner and Silverwind the manager?

Well whatever the case is. If somebody's authorized to create a hiring thread on behalf of the server the expectation should be that they have at least a necessary amount of basic, accurate information for the public to view. Else we encourage clusterflucks as an acceptable standard. :)

Okay, our plans?
We plan mainly on assigning everyone either to a specific island, or town, and giving them a theme. Our plans for the server is an RPG, Final Fantasy styled game, where you complete quest, and fight others. If you were to apply as LAT, then again, you'd be working on a specific island, or town, or maybe even a forest. Basically, we just need to get this gmap done, then the scripting and insides, then the quests. Anything else?

I believe they were talking about a specific plan for the server itself with as much details as possible, and a few screenshots also go a long way.

Just wondering.... why have 3 different grass and 3 different dirt?
I wouldn't mind seeing 2, but 3 for each uses too much space on the tileset, considering all tiles needing grass and dirt on them.

I agree with this 100%.

You guys are off to a good start with the tileset but you have so much open space, as well as space being taken up by unneeded tiles, that you should add a lot more tiles for detailing the levels. Otherwise 1 of 2 things is going to happen.
Either A:
You are going to have a vast amount of levels that are just plain grass
Or B:
You will have levels filled with nothing but swamp grass and mushrooms.

They could make it a side-scroller and make all the characters look like plumbers too!

I hope that you guys know how to do custom movement + cliffs. Goodluck looking for a scripter prepared to do that

I help out on this server somtimes, and decided to help it by giving out more detailed information about the server...


-What is Dudoria?
Dudoria is a fun, new server with a (not gonna say it, the z word) type game
play, including quests and a central storyline! Throughout the server, you will be able to batle various beasts and other players. When you do this, you wil earn EXP points! (like the other z word- z-o) There is also a heavy focus on player-vs-player interaction through battling, games, and more.


-Progress?
Dudoria's current staff team has been hard at work developing the following things:
-Complex Staff System
-Cool, Graphical Inventory System
-A working HUD system and various GUIs
-An interesting tileset (undergoing massive construction at the moment)
-A small, but interesting overworld (this server believes in quality over quantity)
-And other secret things that haven't been mentioned to me...


-Hiring:
Dudoria is, obviously, hiring 1 or 2 LATs. Here is the full list of staff that can help:

-Level Artists
-Graphic Artists
-Gani Designers
-Sound Designers
-Scripters

Anyone who has a talent and would like to work for the server is welcome to apply. There isn't a set number of those who will be hired.

It says at the opening of this thread to post in this thread to be hired. You can, instead, contact Bwaze (server owner) or Silverwind (server manager) for more explicit directions on being hired. (Not me!!!!!!) They can both be found on Dudoria.

Pretty much exactly what he said, but you have to go to Bwaze or Silverwind for anything besides an LAT position

If you are interested in being an LAT however, just apply to me or them, like I said
