Hiring for Player Relations

1 Attachment(s)
Hello all, I'm currently looking for some new PR staff. If you feel that you're qualified, please fill out the attached application and follow the instructions. If you're found sharing or even asking for answers to the logs, your application will be immediately declined. Good luck to all that apply. Applications are due by 12/1/10.

I also recommend downloading Notepad++ to view the logs easier. (http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download)

Era PRA,
Nich

Cubical 11-25-2010 12:31 AM

That's a mighty big file for a PR app.

cheesemanfred 11-25-2010 12:36 AM

The attached file includes the logs necessary to complete the application.

the PR Application is showing up as a virus in my computer. I wouldn't download it until a mod verifies.
edit: wow way to change the attachment

The end tag doesn't exist because that's all the Era forums can be. We shall dub it the infinity modern complaint machine.

Demisis_P2P 11-25-2010 05:12 AM

The new attachment is still being detected as a virus for me.

papajchris 11-25-2010 07:14 AM

it's the same issue people had with mine, it's not a virus, it simply is a compressed file from an unknown source. (note: my scanner didn't pick up anything anyways)

Dnegel 11-25-2010 05:17 PM

its a trap!

Eclipse 11-25-2010 05:40 PM

I would like to mention that I thought Zeus's app was too good to not use again, and not that I was too lazy to make another, I just didn't think I could come up with a better application in the timeframe I had set. So, thank you Zeus.

Seeya 11-25-2010 09:27 PM

I wouldn't trust it until a mod verifies. It could really be a password stealing virus.

You didn't change anything about the app, did you?

Classy.

One could argue that "I just didn't think I could come up with a better application" implies laziness simply because the way you state it makes it look like you didn't even try to make your own application. Wait, I take that back. Observe this excerpt:

Quote:

Please type: “I agree to the statements written above.” By doing so, you agree you will be
I really like how you cut the second sentence short. It leaves the reader with a sense of mystery and wonder pondering about the concept of unbound potential. Perhaps it's extra credit to finish the sentence?

But surely it doesn't tie into the REQUIREMENTS section which so prematurely ends that sentence's life , does it?

You agree you will be:
Patience - One might argue that expecting your applicants to manifest themselves as a metaphysical concept is a little demanding, especially considering the pool.
Good communication skills - Irony at its finest.
No recent ban history - Alright, I'll give you that one. Every once in a while I love being no recent ban history. I really get into it, mustache and all. But every day? That's impossible.

See how important reading over what you write is? See how confusing it is when you don't take the time to carefully construct sentences that are actually coherent?

Oh wait, you didn't even write this.
