What do you expect out of Classic?
Was talking with someone for about an hour the other day about what an ideal version of Classic would be for me.
The whole concept I arrived at wasn't a nostalgic version of an old set of levels or quests but a server based upon adventuring-- classic in a sense that it is throwing back to Link to the Past more than a shoddy pc game from 1998. In short: What is your ideal Classic? |
Dusty's world looked like the ideal Classic for me. Lots of quests, social interaction and tons of items. It looked pretty darn fun.
The current classic is looking decent though and they seem to be working on it quite a bit, so hopefully something good will come of it this time. |
A letdown

classic.

lots of rare hats and a busy market
|
I would just be happy with the old Classic back. It's called "Classic" for a reason. Maybe some new hats or quests here and there.

over all the good things it has recently had (ctf sumo, etc) i want to see a ****ing good HD and not the garbage from before. it was ok when the server was in europe + serverside cuz we had the edge but of course now it's in the us so i wouldn't want to tip the tide against me u dig?

I liked Dusty's server too.

My ideal classic would be similar to Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which was an RPG game from 06 on xbox and computer. It's a massive game, with about a hundred quests, a hundred different locations to find/explore, leveling, abilities, guilds, houses to buy, etc. The only difference is that it would have to be switched from single player to MMORPG.
Basically it's a nerd's heaven. Here's the link to the game's wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Elder_Scrolls_4 |
One where Tyhm was still in charge.
|
I'd like to see a strong world with basic but good content, nothing very drastic.
Hope for the best, expect the worse. |

I want to see a server with a strong storyline. When i first logged on to classic, i was like what is the point of the server? And then i logged off, never coming back. So there needs to be something that will peak new players interested if even just for a hour so that they can learn the basics of the server and maybe meet other players.

Somewhere in these posts someone compared/brought up how they wanted it to be like Oblivion.
Okay, wait.. What? I'm confused now. What would I want? The good old PK'ing everywhere and the actual "atmosphere" that made Graal the game I loved. Classic always reminded me of the original Zelda games, and I liked how it tried to stay true to story-line/deep quests. Rather than the, go here - do that, there you go Sword 3. |

.. Ew. |
I'd like to see a futuristic world, revolving around an intergalactic space empire ruled by midgets. PKing would be completely removed from the server and fighting would be based on Sudoku battles.

I want to see the classic storyline with main quests, sidequests, and social interaction (hang out spots, events, sparring). I want to be able to log on to Classic and choose whether I want to do quests and get max sword level, max shield level, max hearts, etc. or just hang out and interact with other Graalians. I would also like to see "non-classic" features such as hats.
I would say a mix between the era when Thym's Quest was first released, and the era when the Hera's were released. Something close to that. :( |
