Ummmmm....

Am I the only one that cant connect to graal through client or rc right now? Just wondering. Did a quick skim through the forums but didn't see anything about it.

Fulg0reSama 05-25-2010 07:22 AM

Nope not just you. I think graal for the first time in about... 4 years has gone down again. This time I'm not talking to random people on MSN while I wait. This time I have **** to do.

sssssssssss 05-25-2010 07:35 AM

It was down in december like 2 times for server moves, if that counts, and I think it crashed once before that. But yeah it rarely does happen. :)

adam 05-25-2010 07:40 AM

It happens... It was less than 4 years ago... But this is the longest i've noticed recently.

sssssssssss 05-25-2010 07:46 AM

Lol, DAMN! Staff sure is up on the get go. Dunno why they just hire free staff to take care of this crap (including 99% of the other things we all ***** about, a lot of us do it for free, some even pay to do it).

Jiroxys7 05-25-2010 08:01 AM

hooray! my server's playercount is in the top 20 on graalstats!

TSAdmin 05-25-2010 08:16 AM

It's been down for about an hour and a half now. Not sure if Stefan knows yet, but Xor has e-mailed him. There could be any number of reasons this happens, including a possible power-outage where the accounts database is stored in France, but who knows.

You would think after all this time he would atleast put duct tape over the cord so his foot can't get caught under it. :D

racycle 05-25-2010 11:14 AM

oh god dont bring up the ducktape lol , 46 other servers just went down =/ including era , un and login http://statistics.graal.us/

TSAdmin 05-25-2010 11:56 AM

Everything should be back in working order now.

Seeya 05-25-2010 08:40 PM

To be honest, i thank TSA for fixing it, he's just great

salesman 05-25-2010 09:17 PM

Would this be why my server randomly changed back to being called "Dev salesman"?

No data was lost afaik so it's not really a problem (although I'm curious if this happened to anyone else?).

Fulg0reSama 05-25-2010 09:25 PM

haha development salesman. Iunno why I find that funny.

Yes, but I took this 5 mins ago:

"NPC-Server (Server): CPU Usage: 96.126666666"

Fulg0reSama 05-26-2010 12:47 AM

That's pretty damn high o.0

Zeke_iPhoneGP 05-26-2010 12:57 AM

Speaking of which, it feels like things are taking longer to update. Recently I've been suspecting my NC of disconnecting on me within less than an hour. Turns out my scripts are occasionally taking about 20 seconds to update.

Zeke_iPhoneGP 05-26-2010 01:21 AM

We killed the npc server and started it again, seems to be working fine now.

EDIT: Only a temporary fix! :(

"NPC-Server (Server): CPU Usage: 100"

Edit: (again) It was fixed, a bad script on another server running on the same machine as our server. Stefan disabled it. :D

Good to hear Stefan fixed that. There was some struggle noticed though when they were all first brought back where everything was reloading. Some people couldn't see the script inside classes, DB-NPCs or WNPCs even though they still worked. That should be fixed too now that everything is back online and rebooted correctly.

Yeah. When servers are rebooted, they're renamed back to their original "Unixname". That being the case, if anyone needs their servers renamed, just let myself, Bell or Xor know via the support email (See signature) or directly to us.

The problem with missing scripts on a player world had to do with a staff deleting the files though.

Could you elaborate on this? I just got done making a script, and after i applied it, it updated. then i doubleclicked it in the weapons folder thing to open it, but then i get a weapon doesnt exist error. luckily i backed it up on notepad. Is this related? or is this another bug?
