Vega United is Hiring
Vega United is an upcoming Zombie/Modern server that will knock your hands off your keyboard and have you yelling obscenities.
http://vega-united.weebly.com Imagine a vast open-world experience in which creatures that are not of this world come after you and try to rip your brains out. 'OH CRAP!' Grab that gun and run! The ZOMBIES are coming, not only zombies though, this server will have multiple monsters that you must kill to survive. We are in need of all development positions, mainly Animators, or GANI's. The requirements to work on this server is just that you agree to be active and to show some sort of work you may have done before. If you would like a job, you have several ways to contact me. Email -[email protected] MSN -[email protected] Email -[email protected] Forum PM I can make Levels and do some scripting. The goal of this server is to have a surivial type of theme, in which you must either team up or go alone and try to kill the enemy. It will also be allowed to betray your teammates and leave the group and decide to actually join the Zombie Horde. |
Good luck.

Thanks, lol I need help though.

I donated, Darren. ^_^

Good luck.

Is this some India site?
|
Well I was originally going to say something clever about how bloody retarded you are, but then I logged on and saw what the GATs did (I think the graphics are quite nice) and thought I could help out in the scripting department. Don't currently have Gold, though.
EDIT: Also, the two interior levels and the gmap that a user can see by logging on are pretty much terrible. Find LATs and don't call yourself one because you lack skills in any other department. |

Looks like it's the LAT's fault to me.
|
I hate modern servers. Most of the time the GATs make the tiles disgusting colors and the LATs put it together in a way that makes me want to delete the game. In that picture it looks very dull and the graphics make me want to smash my computer screen because it depresses me. Can someone make a server thats not modern, nor middle-ages, nor future. I would like to see a server that takes in a new time period and uses new ideas instead of the old replayed ideas. Awesome .

Modern servers are all so dark, its like always the night.
Even if they include a day/night system, it will only make the server darker during the day. Please, for the next modern server, bright colours even for the roads wouldn't hurt. |

Someone should make Miami in 1987 like i've said before. |
Lacks post-apocalyptic feel, needs more dirt and things on fire, less-than reputable characters going through trash and such.
Other than that Good luck. |

Nonetheless, cool idea jkldogg. Hope it works out for you. There was another server that got pretty far on the whole zombie idea, but i think the server died. Im sure you have seen it or if not, you should. Anyways my point is maybe you can improve your server even more by talking to their previous staff members and find what ideas they had and how they set their server up. :)

The server should be very dark, scary and untamed. There should be blood and gore, there should be violence and swearing. The server itself should be chaotic. |
I'd work REALLY hard on eliminating the pattern in those tiles, like the grass and asphalt. Secondly, I'd look up some real references to urban buildings and such instead of even thinking of Era. I can tell there are some bad habits already picked up from the style Era has that has creeped over into your tileset, even when it barely makes sense. These small details are what makes it hard to see anything other than an Era look-alike, even when the overall picture was never meant to be such. What's with the orange traffic-line, by the by?
As for the post-apocalyptic feel... you don't need to sacrifice colors or make it all goth in order to create a post-apocalyptic setting. Destruction of the environment does not necessarily mean destruction of art. Color is indeed more widely associated with beauty and life, but if done well can be just as convincing as anything else. L4D2 pulled it off pretty well, in my opinion. |

Also, the artwork in the picture is Sandz' work, though my style for Graal purposes tends to be about the same. |
