Looking for well experienced NPC Scripters

Well I've decided to post this in order to enlarge Faherias' staff once more. With more NPC Scripters we can Faheria up and running much faster. Although this is for NPC Scripters I will allow Level Makers to try out aswell. 1024 outside is a lot to edit =\. I'm going to keep this short, We'd appreciate it greatly if you would at least tryout for the jobs. :-)

Thanks, Shadrock

1024!?!

Why does everyone want bigger playerworlds these days?

RawPower 09-13-2001 01:26 AM

RPing takes a lot of space.

I'm here with my friend right now and we both agree that many levels is totally un-needed unless you have a large continent with content instead of crap.

No kidding..

Like I've said before. Faheria is an RP Server. You need a large world to RP...

You're gonna need alot of grass-type tiles, as in alternatives so that the normal grass wont be lonely ;)
You also might wanna make different shrubs, tall grass, trees, etc....and to think I've already done that :D

well golly! We've on the forums, not everybody knows how to make levels the way you and I do, so lay the hell off me and accept my advice as something nice instead of an insult will you!

Perhaps some nice level techniques (aside from the one you posted above ) or maybe some ideas for an RP server.

Not something like "YA WEL YUE GOT A LIKE PUT GRASS AND STOF AND PUT BISHES AND ADD TRES AND WATER PLA ES!"

What I meant...
Was made new tiles which could be used to add more detail to the levels...not just "PUT DA BUSH A HEER AND A TTRE DARE!"

A somewhat good example of what I meant, can be viewed here: http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/tolinus/ss01.png

It appears that myself, Shadrock, NewWorld, and many other people are in dire need of npc scriptors :/

Levels are easy to make so I think people only go that distance and are too lazy to implement npc coding into them...that is my opinion at least. Yes, levels are important, but npc scripts are what truly make a playerworld come to life if done properly.

Gfx are also important, and I think there is a fair amount of people that can be called upon to handle it.

COME ON...WE NEED MORE PEOPLE TO LEARN NPC SCRIPTING :D

Reminds me of the US power balance thingy...executive, legisilative, judiciary...that is reflected here with levels, npcs, graphics....except its out of balance with levels making most of the weight.

Oh well, enough of my babble :)

Of course :D

Once again, though, if there are people out there that think they are good at level design, then go for my Kingdom Tryouts. I still need Shadow, Water, Earth, and Fire filled.

http://home.earthlink.net/~skittles00/doragon.png

Just pick one of the island spots from the outer rim (excluding the bottom center) and the kingdom element you want to try out for and PM so I can send you the levels. Its your project once you get the levels, so levels, npcs, gfx, etc are your responsibility seeing as I have much work to do on the rest of the world.

hehe, I knew someone was going to say that. Thing is, not many of us are willing to give money out to someone we do not personally know and can be sure that they will stay on task ;)
