Nastazio: Did you ever imagine the rebelion of the graalinian Community? it seems the the community is soon going to rebel aginst it's owners, Stefan and Unixmad. People are fed up with their crap and won't take it anymore, i for one am not afraid to say anything in fear of being banned, because if i am, then i am. And can't we get a refund for being banned? it says no where in the contract, if your banned you don't get jack ****?? well thats it, i am sick of it and alot of the players are too.. did ya ever think? the end of graal ? and the over run of its authority???

If it happens, I somehow find the latest Gserver in a windows version, and host Graal for friends only.
As IceHawk said..."Shhh Unixmad may ban me..."

Normally at this point in time I would go offline immediately and make a cool movie where the people of Graal rebel against Unixmad, and I would provide screen shots of it on the forums...accept I am not going to do that, for I do not wish to have my life on Graal banned by unixmad.

1.39 is the latest I believe(but still illegal)
I managed to keep a 1.3(not 1.39) gserver on a zipdisk, so I could host a server right now if I felt the need to, although the limit for online users would be low.

_AcidIce_ 08-27-2001 01:48 AM

i used to have something like 1.3 that jerom was saying .. me and Liquidice used it to test unholynation when we first started.

Cloud_X 08-27-2001 01:50 AM

I only keep up my 1.3 server some of the time so people can show off their levels.
I've made some new rules though, which means everyone who had their levels on my server will have to change some things about their levels to keep things betterly organized. It's just things like file names, overworld levels require maps, etc.

Actually... GServers are not illegal. In fact, we're legally entitled to them.

From the Graal 2001 License Agreement:

Quote:

"The Program" ("Program") means the computer programs and documentation included in the file(s) or package and is provided on an "AS IS" basis, for your private personal use only. "Graal v1.3.* - The Adventure" means the combination of the client software and a personal server software to play on a local network with a maximum of 8 players.
Therefore, the old GServers are not illegal. Ones that have a playerlimit higher than eight are illegal, but according to the current license agreement, we're allowed to have the GServers with a playerlimit of 8.

What was mafukie banned for then, exactly?

TrueHeaT 08-27-2001 02:24 AM

I realize that. However, that license is for 1.3.*, from which we were only given one of these GServers for use on a local network. We're still legally entitled to these applications, which unixmad stopped distributing after 1.3.

*loads 1.3 Gserver and updates all the levels*...I don't think I broke a law just now, did I?

I don't think so. As long as you only use it for LANs, it's totally legal by the license agreement. However, I'm still wondering where the GServers for 1.31-1.39Rev2 that unixmad owes us are.

You know if actually let us use even the 1.28 gserver with 8 player limit to legally have servers half the people probably wouldnt still be made at him.

I think of it this way...
If you can make a world that is better than NewMain with just 1.3, then you don't need any newer versions :D
Which thanks to my friends who have learned Gscript very well, it's almost getting that way...
