The problem is that Tig doesn't actively play on the server so he wouldn't know how bad it was, hence the delay in things like the crypt being reopened (that plus all the global duties he's expected to be fulfilling).
Honestly, I didn't even know it was so bad in GK until I started logging on these past few days and actually experienced the things that so many players were complaining about. They're all legit arguments, and I can't believe this hasn't been addressed when the only thing to do on GK most of the time is to level. |

I realize there are issues that need to be taken care of, but with little-to-no reliable scripting help it's not exactly easy. Doing the entire quarter updates is not exactly an easy job, and it would be nice to have some reliable help. There is a reason why there are more smaller updates than there are larger ones and it's because the smaller ones take less time and enable me to get more done at once, it's not that I prioritize them higher than the other large, important things. You, as a developer, should understand that very well. All in all, the server is being improved, the 200% playercount increase is testament to that, it's just a slow process. I work as best as I can for what I have to work with. Quote:

I tried helping GK like a year ago but had to leave when I started college, but now I'm helping out with Zone so I wouldn't have the time to help GK, but I think you guys have added Twinny recently to the team and I don't know exactly what he's working on but perhaps he can be given the job of getting the crypt ready for release or so, or at least something that gives higher level players the opportunity to level up without having to rely on brutals alone? |
Who evers idea it was to have maps randomly open everywhere on the map that is one hell of an idea.
Make it spawn in completely random spots. Make the map range from 1-brutal with 1s more common in newb areas, and brutals more common in random wtfareas. I like this idea, I like it a lot. |

Fixing Avatars and Elementals would be nice in next update. By fixing I mean not getting stuck on the wall and better AI and direction, get rid of the delay to change direction. Its hard and long enough I sometimes don't get a chance to finish a map lol.

Make summon avatar follow your mouse, since you can't cast while having one anyways. Left mouse button would have it melee attack, right would have it use a spell tied to that god. Change it so avatar's speed, ac, and wc are based on your wisdom level

Avatars casting spells, sounds awsome. Leuc casting ball lightning, Bile casting wounds, Brigid casting holy orb, Balor casting fireball, Aengus casting manaball, gov doesn't cast anything except boosts it's strength, Dian casting idno, ogma casting i dno... The spells they cast could get stronger, or offer new ones as you level in wisdom. |

I'm all for the mouse-driven thing, though. Avatars are retarded in the way that they only move in the direction you're facing, because a sudden turn makes them do the same. |
Were the monsters in Immense Maps also given a boost of exp like brutals and lords? :D
|
I haven't been around for at least a year, but i must ask, have lords changed that drasticly? A quick run around main, through both haunted houses and a few select locations in the dungeon were all a person needed to find a lord and people took time to do just that, it was a fun thing to do with friends, just gather a 2-5 man team of lord hunters and spread out for one, if someone found it the rest would be called in to help kill it.
Don't rush to get levels everyone, you only burn yourself out faster and you wind up leaving sooner, and you WILL be missed by friends and allies alike, just spend time doing other things too like baking bread, growing flowers or crafting swords at the smithy to roleplay a little now and then. |
