My keyboard is a bit messed up though, it provides an alternative. Usually I've been having to hit certain buttons multiple times.

I'm not even gonna bother reading the debate on mouseclick.

I have a perfectly simple plain to reduce the ammount of mouse users.

At a certain exp level, you cannot mouse click anymore, rather that's when you HAVE to use the keyboard. So, newbies can rank up kills, exp until a certain amount.

And then it pops up someone near there screen saying '' You have reached a skilled enough rank/exp, you may not use the mouseing system any longer''

It would reduce the ammount of decent people using them. And would help newbies.

Eh, I think it should be the other way around... I'd rather be lamed by Switch than Graal1234567... (Not saying you click or anything Switch just using you as an example). Anyways it would make more sense overall if they had to get to Soldier / Warrior first before clicking so you know they have a bit of experience then clicking from the start. Even so I am still not sure about this idea because my keyboard is a bit messed up and usually I have to hit keys twice and I won't be getting a new keyboard for a week so I am not sure yet.

Best idea I've heard all month. Way to go Sean.

*Slaps self rapidly in the head*
The whole point of Sean's idea was balancing mouse clicking. The only problem with mouse clickers are the ones who are good at it (its not hard to be good at it...).
Now, if only newbies could use mouse click then things would be balanced, their newbs but using an overpowered method. We're talented using a more challenging method. PLEASE tell me you understand now...

Fix the angles and add Sean's idea ;).

"You have just reached Soldier rank! Mouse-Click shooting is now disabled. Time to get some real talent eh?"

xD, Good old jesse ;).

I don't get why Stefan never reads his own forums, or plays his own game.
I mean people are just gonna say "He's busy noob." Anyway, just, we have a whole thread of what people think of the mouse click.

What most people are saying, just remove the 12 dimensions of shooting.

And yeah, add seans idea :D

Frieza 11-18-2007 12:26 AM

seans idea 4 lyf 2k7

anubis_wing 11-18-2007 05:14 AM

I think it's an awful idea, when they get to the point of not being able to use it, they'll be worse off because they won't know how to fight any other way.

Switch 11-18-2007 05:30 AM

It should explain to them, then.

Knight 11-18-2007 07:40 AM

I'd rather have mouse completely removed then only newbs being able to use it...? I don't even care now that I found a keyboard that works in my closet a few hours ago I say we go ahead and completely remove click lol.

I actually agree with that, the noobs will learn to play and "pwn" with the mouse click, only to have it stripped away from them, i don't like noobs much but thats kinda cruel... And besides, whats stopping someone from just making many trial accounts and just using mouse click with them every day? It doesn't solve the problem, it only makes laming exclusive to new players. Aboloshing the mouse click altogether or atleast altering the mouse click to only shoot and not actually select a direction is the only way this will be sorted.
