the problem with boiling water is that when I try to use it, I usually spill a bunch on meeself... and it hurts alot

The style of a staff can't be beat, but in a true fight I'd rather have a katana. Still, throwing knives are even cooler.
Hmm, which weapon would you say could be most easily combined with unarmed martial arts? I'm thinking some kind of club or fighting baton? |
Weapons *grins*
|
with un-armed martial arts? Id probably say it would be a fully-auto pistol with a banana clip :) but if they had to be semi low-tech I would have to say a punching dagger
|
A punching dagger, eh? Sounds okay, but also kinda weedy. I'm not gonna get close to a dude with a sword with my little pointy hands. I was thinking more of incorporating kicks into normal fighting. The stance used in staff fighting looks, at first glance, like it would be unsuitable, but it might work with a sword.
Now, obviously I wouldn't be sending head-height kicks at someone with a huge sharp bone-cutting sword, because then I'd limp for the rest of my days, but a good knee-breaker would surely be useful, and very difficult to deal with when the person is busy watching out for my sword strike. "Oh, Mister Opponent, you wish to look down at my foot as I attempt to break your knee? Gooooood." |
kicking is something I dont like, because if I grabs your leg, the first thing your gonna is gonna be my punching daggers going into your chest, but if I had to use my feet, then I would probably put a little blade into each end of my shoes so I could use my feet as a letal weapon
|
You could catch my leg as it flew towards your knee in a time span of about half a second? I doubt it. If I was stupid enough to go chest height then maybe, but I'm not. You'd have a shattered knee in no time.
A blade in the shoes might work, but it couldn't be a very big blade or it'd get very clumsy. So you wouldn't be doing so much damage with it unless you hit face height, which is risky. On the other hand, using your feet as blunt weapons allows you to break bones, which would do far more damage. |
well, in a real battle, I would probably just swing with brute force and fight really close(so the punching dagger would work) until I would finally get a chance to run you through and as for kicks, moderate armour could take most of the force out of your kicks
|
If I'm holding a sword in front of me then it would be unwise to try to get close, lest you skewer yourself. Theoretically you could knock the blade away first, but it's risky, and you'd leave yourself open to a retaliatory slash.
Plus, is it possible to block with those hand daggers? You're right about the armour, though. That'd be a real problem, but I could at least put you off balance or flinch you. |
if you were like that, Id use the weight advantage of the claymore I have and I would immediatly try to disarm you, then I would go in for the kill
|
Oh, you have a claymore? That changes things. In that case I'd be very careful about blocking, and try to redirect your attacks rather than simply put my sword in the way. Then, when you've thrown yourself off balance by swinging a big heavy piece of metal at me, I'd remove your head.

Fighting a dark lotus member can be described around the lines of "Holding your sword out infront of you while they run into it".
|
what kind of weapon would you like to use, because my style is Forcing you to block

Oh, wait, are we talking about everquest or real life? |
Dark Lotus members dont count in battles, unless you trip over their dead bodies
