4) New developer tools
New Developer Tools including level editor will be released in Mai and June

Hate to bump. But what happened to this ?

It's not always easy to plan, for the dev tools we were planning to hire someone but he got family problems. We are working on quite exciting things but if we only get such feedback here (deleted some posts) then we should probably not announce anything.
The Android version was already ready 4 years ago but we are hesitating with the release because we want to make sure it will be popular. It should be available sometime this year though :D

Do you think it's possible for Android and iPhone players to both play on iClassic at the same time, or does the Android server have to be seperate?

Plan to use the same server, although I'm not sure if it can handle more than 3000 players on the same server, have to optimize more :D
(record is 2301 right now)

Announcing things, and not meeting deadlines causes a great deal of this backlash people have twards you. If you are going to make deadlines, push them past when you expect to be finished.. It's actually professionally acceptable to have a finished product sitting around because the release date has not been reached.

It's great to see you have plans to further develop the tools. If andriod is ready now why is it not released? I don't see how waiting is helping it out much? Are you doing advertising or something?

Stefan, I am a big fan of your work. These people complain about alot of stuff... but could they honestly accomplish what you have with Graal? I do think we need some better servers tho, but hopefully developers can catch up to the extensive scripting features you have added over the last decade.

Keep up the good work, and don't let anyone discourage you.

Graal is going to be free to play? But I paid for gold :(

Most people would forgive you for not adhering to original dates, the frustrating thing is the lack of a real explanation as to why these things haven't happened and their current situation.

If this is true, it doesn't make sense for Unixmad to have announced it as imminent in Spring 2011.

What advantages has the wait caused to you? Just curious.

Better stability most likely.

BlueMelon 01-18-2013 09:46 PM
