Regardless, we must mantain the pride. Patriotism and pride is what unites us, and unity is what keeps America strong.

You say its a proven fact...yet have you even researched it? I doubt it...people lie, and all to often, the only way to get this done, and know it is done with a certainty is to do it yourself...

Why yes, I have researched it. I wouldn't make a comment like that if I didn't know what I was talking about, you goddamn rocket scientist. America is a great country and all, it is good for the people that live in it because we can, as long as we have jobs, live our lives the way we want to. However, we are also a horrible nation because we have one of the highest crime rates in the world, not to mention we are the highest world contributor to greenhouse gases and pollution. I wish Bush had signed the Kyoto treaty but that's something of the past, but we do need to work on pollution problems.

It's important to their loved ones, although when it comes down to being business only, the city is worth more than those 3 people.

Again. DUH, you rocket scientist. I've said it numerous times. I'm recovering from a breakdown because of all of this, it deeply hurt me. My entire family has been torn apart because of this, all of us are upset. But I hate to see people who make the US out to be perfect when it isn't. It's a great country and I love living in it, there is lots of good in it, but there is always a bad side of the coin which can't be avoided. I hate to see people bashing America like this, and saying that America deserved the thousands of deaths because it DIDN'T. If the deaths were in the military I could understand a bit better but these were CIVILIAN.

T-Squad 09-13-2001 08:51 AM

Oh and jerom, heres the thing with suicide and the other thing...

Suicide is killing yourself, you WILLINGLY ending your life.

Terrists bombing someone is the Terrists ending others lives, without the people having a choice on life or death.

BIG difference...

Yes yes i know! BUT... the point of life is to SURVIVE... I agree, humans have evoloved to the level where their emotions can and have take control of their actions. This is the one FATAL flaw of humankind...

I wasn't. I understood what you've tried to say from the beginning and I was in no way trying to implicate anyone with what I said. I was just trying to voice my opinions as simply as I could and I realize I sort of did the opposite and was rather complex...

I don't understand it. People in the Us cheered when Japan was bombed, but unlike the Palestinians, among whom about 200 cheered, 20 million cheered in the Us. and unlike the palestinians, who cheered for the death of about 7,000 people, the US cheered for the death of about 170,000 people.

I don't see how these kinds of biased attitudes can proliferate.

well we've been guided by our emotions ever since we had them, heh...
Sometimes emotions are for the better, but on the other hand, emotions can get in the way of a better descision...

Say for instance some girl just broke up with a guy, and the guy was mighty pissed off because the girl got a new boyfriend. The ex-boyfriend beats up the new boyfriend. That was a bad descision caused by emotions.

Really? You know how long it will be before pollution takes its toll? I'd have to say, as a estimate, millions of years...if humans didn't exist, polution would still occur, humans only accelerate it about (another estimate) 100 years, at least, and like, I don't know...1000 years. I'm probably way off, but anyway...it will be a while before that effect anything....a LONG while....

dante again makes a point.. i think using the atom bomb on japan was a disgusting thing to do. i think pearl harbour was smart strategically but ruthless

i think america deserved a wake up call but not in the loss of lives.. maybe all its big businesses crumbling would do the trick

we cheered because we had revenge for pearl harbor in which a few thousand americans died, we didn't cheer because of deaths of the innocent, also it wasn't a terrorist attack, it was an attack by a country. they deserve what they got.

The Palistinians(however you spell it) were mad at the US because the US was supporting Palistinians enemies with weapons which were used to kill Palistinian's people.
