SADLY NO, APPARENTLY IF I'M NOT DOING SOMETHING IT'S NOT GETTING DONE.
Seriously, we got 2 or 3 people saying don't do any levels 'cuz they're gonna redo the tileset, I don't hear **** for months... 2 or 3 people saying they'll make new zombie graphics, nothin'... Peo keeps trying to set up the supplies gathering system, but he gets easily discouraged and leaves notes in the damndest places rather than contact me directly to say WTF... Codein's still got the upgrades system in shambles, but he's off touring the world with his rock and roll band... |

That's what I meant by a note to say WTF. I hain't been on RC in weeks, then I see !!!!IMPORTANT NOTICE when I'm going through the weapons, and man, if you ain't gonna add me on ICQ or anythin' how am I supposed to talk to you and figure out what's going wrong? We got 2 kinds of weapons, the scripted WNPCs and the string DB weapons that show up in the inventory...
And yes, you have come a long way with the supplies; they just aren't done yet. Not that it would save the server alone, since we'd still need a place to hide the supplies and a place to return the supplies, places the tilers are eager to build but the tile-makers insist would just have to be remade from scratch just as soon as they get started on their artistic masterpieces. -_- |

Is the movement and viewing system finished and polished off? If it is... I don't like it. Running around with a chainsaw or knife is just fine, but moving around with any gun makes it nigh unplayable. With the slightest mouse movement the camera is jerking around and its very painful on the eyes. Everything else seems in line to be great, but I can honestly say that I myself would avoid the game just on the grounds of the camera. Or..at least...run around with a melee weapon all day even if it means the death of me.
If you could apply the camera distance from the chainsaw or knife to every weapon instead of extending the sight so far from the player it would be wonderful. I know, It's nice viewing a distance to see what's coming your way, but if you can't give that up there has to be a better way of implementing it than what you have now |
Fine fine, I'll turn off the setfocus...whole idea is 1) you can see what you're shooting at and 2) you can't see what's sneaking up behind you, but the problem is that since the mouse controls are based off what tile you're mousing over and the terrain moves with the focus, it's like trying to balance a bowling ball on one finger - the more it slips, the more it slips.

I do love the concept of it... it's just a shame it didn't work out.

Just wanted to check since I haven't heard much on this in the last few weeks...has this become vaporware?
