that would be fun.

There could also be raiders that come and try to take over the castle and the guards have to protect it. heh *attack when there sleeping :D*

For Tyhms idea, maybe Tybalt could be the king of a samurai style kingdom in Santerrain and someone else could be the king of a european middle-age kind of kingdom.

Asuka 03-30-2001 11:41 AM

I WANNA BE THE KING OF THE MEDIEVAL STYLE CUZ IN THAT POLL ABOUT WHAT IS ROLEPLAYING TO YOU I SAID MEDIEVAL CUZ MEDEIVAL RP IS FUNNEREST!

Also since me and tybalt hate each other basically it would work out great.

HiryuuX 03-30-2001 11:43 AM

*wants to be a general for the samurai style* ;)

Seeing as I learned this recently, High level samurais are called Daimyo, the General is called the Shogun. and the person who controls the Shogun is the Emperor

By the way, I know alot about both the Japanese and English Kingdoms. Anything you need to know ask me...I want to be a Knight :D

The English system works like this (a Feudal system)

The King controls everything, He has absolute power and say in everything that happens.

The Vassals are the Nobles. The high class.

Knights are also held in the high class.

And below the Knights are the peasants. They each belong to the knight, they pay taxes to work for the Knights(you read right). Often in food.

Also every knight had a castle...the Kings castle was the Manor.....But I dont know how this is going to be worked, Thank you for listening to Wing's lesson in English Kingdoms!

Here's the real deal:

The retainer is a position in feudal european kingdoms, if every royal person dies, he retains the throne. Thence the name.

The Samurai serve under a general who serves undera daimyo which is an owner of a plot of land. The landowners are all governed by the shogun, who is the true leader. The Emporer was a symbolic figure, much like the royalty of modern England, he had little power.

Same with me wing i had to know medieval english because i did a humongus report on it last year and i know japanese stuff because my sister is going to japan to teach english next year which is super neato.

Asuka 03-30-2001 11:53 AM

IT would be fun and easy if me and THT could be the kings but i guess we have to go through the voting thing.

Read the entire thing, I just edited it. Just so ya notice

This is how i think it should work

Only 1 castle with some barracks or rooms just for the head knights and nobles that way we save on room and levels.

Tyhm 03-30-2001 12:03 PM

It'd be spiffy if there were two castles, and each one had a static guildtag (Samurai Kingdom), (Swamp Kingdom), and if someone from the other kingdom sits on the throne, the castle is theirs, kinda like CTF, so obviously you can't let that happen or the leader of the (Swamp Kingdom) gets to take over the (Samuai Kingdom) guildcode, and you gotta build a new castle somewhere else, or at least a fort, or your people are homeless and hide their heritage for fear of persecution (go sans guildcode)...

HiryuuX 03-30-2001 12:11 PM

Nah, if there weren't players on to defend the castles then some guy from the other castle could just walk in and be king then =/. I was thinking of this more as RolePlaying than a game.

Tyhm 03-30-2001 12:49 PM

Well, I think it'd add to rather than detract from the RP experience...
The guards MUST guard the throne at all times, 'round the clock...to fail is to allow the kingdom to be destroyed...

With server NPCs...might even be able to have an NPC King for when the Player King's not on...

Maybe NPC Guards too, but they'd be considerably dumber than a player. Worse fighters and all. Predictable.
