They might as well just make a "VIP" server where vip's just hang out, share stuff, and get to "test" scripts made by GST's or stefan. I'm pretty sure a lot of newbies get active when they see stefan ;).

That and have ghosts disabled so only VIP's are allowed. ^^;

This thread WILL be closed, if the discussion of VIP continues. All your answers are here:

Your choose VIP AND GOLD, I assume the people complaining have both, as if you just have VIP then there are many benefits, eitherway: BACK ON TOPIC

My suggestion above involved VIP, does that mean that it is un-appropiate?

Spark910 04-27-2004 07:47 PM

No, go ahead. :O
But its forum suggestions that they are looking for here, maybe it would be a good idea for a total new thread for suggestions for VIP-Only services/additions.

Idea:
Spelling checker... one with an american/english checker, so those who used it aren't forced into one. This way those people who skipped school and should be able to spell can spell, because it will do the work for them.

meany
:frown:
I was just never good at spelling

I doubt anyone would use it... most people who misspell, don't really care if it's right or not...

Not directed at you. :)

I kind of like the idea of a spell check, that way I have more reason to make fun of people who misspell http://members.aol.com/michaelangelo36/devious.gif

The test server sounds fun, but then I'd have to join GST to get in on the fun (for practicality's sake, I do need testers from time to time so I'm not just reffering to my preference to screw around with joke scripts)

Display mods for individual forum areas again? Dont know if that has already been said.

I dont really understand why thats hidden now, all I see that doing is making it a little more difficult for people to know which individuals they can go to when an issue arises.

Forum Leaders
Bottom of front page, doesn't seem difficult to me. :\

Dach 04-28-2004 05:25 AM

It is slightly out of sight, so forum new-bis would have a hard time finding it :\

Tyhm 04-28-2004 05:45 AM

Yeah, it would be a smidge easier to have it next to the forum itself, or at the top of the forum listing. So if you're lagging like a felon, you can get to the PM A Moderator link one page faster

ETD 04-28-2004 08:02 AM

Expanding on one of my earlier ideas...

forum members with GOLD accounts, should have a gold nickname on the forums
:o
VIP members should recieve a Star next to their name...

people with both would obviously get a gold name, and a star
;)

Also, would there be a way to make it so that any time someone says the name of someone else, it makes the name into a link to that person's profile?

like I say... "did you hear what Unix said in the other thread?" and then unix would make a link to his profile
:o
(just a random idea... doesn't surve much of a purpose, exept that it would help people who do know know who you are talking about

Tyhm 04-28-2004 11:16 AM

Tricky with nicknames though right? I mean even in that example, "Unix" could mean the operating system or Unixmad. Then what of MagicalTux9728? Does Tux mean him or MagicalTux or the user "Tux"?

I'd avoid it altogether

R0bin 04-28-2004 10:14 PM

I want teh bushie back :(

Tyhm 04-28-2004 10:37 PM

I'd like to see the set of icons I went to the trouble of making implemented, or at least ultimately rejected. :-P
