It might have been. 1.35 came out like 2 weeks after I started though.

They shouldn't have decimals in the version unless they were betas. So it would be easier. You could stroll down the street saying "I started in version 1."

ZanderX 10-09-2001 09:12 AM

I've told my Graal story many times. I started in the 1.3 era. :T

Asuka 10-09-2001 09:40 AM

How did Asuka the Great start playing graal you ask? Well i was playing TTO (Triple Triad Online) back when it was fun and a decent game with many well known graalians such as Fuitad, Link64, Chronos, Kain, BaRT, and SuperNick. Chronos, BaRT, and I were the best and so we got along alright. Thats when they brought up Graal and i was like "what is that" and BaRT showed me and got me through mah newbie stage in graal and grew me to 9 heartsies! Then i was like w000t and now this is where i am. 1.32 4 eva!!!!!!!!!

Why is it, I constantly read about people claiming they're so special because they started in the time of Zelda Online, or in version 1.28, or version 1.31 or whenever it was? Just because you started Graal earlier then others, automaticly means you're better then a newer player, or smarter then a newer one? "Oh, I know how to hide my fear of being 0wned by a newer player.. I'll just call them a "newbie" and assume that they're dumber then then the ground I walk on. Oh yeah, I am sooo cool."

It's just stupid to me. It doesn't matter when you started, the ammount of time you've been playing earns you no more respect in my book. You earn my repsect on how you act; not on when you claim to have begun to play. Sadly though, all of the new players get called "newbies" and get made fun of, etc when they begin to play. So what do they do? They claim they played GO, or ZO way back in the days of yore...and so the cycle of folly continues. Sorry for my rant there...I'll stop now.

Alkaren has a point.

Just look at me. I started in 1.34 and I'm more well known then some oldbies.

Hahaha. I smell a n00b going through withdrawal. It is ok dude, not everyone is as cool as us olbies.
Yes it does matter on when you started. The earlier you started, the more you know about the old graal and all the people and all the changes it went through. I started around 1.22 or 1.24 not sure. I remember how much fun I had. The first few days were crazy. People had like 30 hearts and all this stuff. I had 3 hearts. I remember always getting killed. One time I even typed 40 so it showed a 40 over my head so people would think I had 40 hearts. HAHA IT WORKED! Some guys asked me like "who is your master". And I was like "GOD" and stuff. Then I remember when I got my new computer and starting Pking and doing all this crazy stuff with the old BrotherHood, Knights of Templar, Silver Lion, Frost Bite, Gangstas and so. I remember always getting in arguements with NyChris and always screwing around and just talking. Remember when we had that "avalon" hacked npc that shot fireballz and didn't take any arrows. That was awesome. Oh How I miss graal. Don't even say crap like "blah blah blah when you started graal doesnt matter". Seems like the only people who say that are the newbies! Hmph! END!

I agree with Alkaren completely, actually. Why should what version you started Graal in matter in comparison to how intelligent you are and how you play the game? Just because you don't know all of the old stuff and weren't there to see it and only started in 1.37, or 1.39, or 1.4 or even simply the 2's, doesn't mean that you can't give that person respect. Would you consider me a newbie seeing as how I returned to Graal in 1.36 or 1.37, yet I am a very respected figure, even though I know very little about the history of Graal itself and what went on in the days of yore? Maybe. But I don't see how that would matter. I have experience playing the game, I'm good at it. Time doesn't matter, it's experience.

The reason why your opinion is different from mine is mainly because of the version you started. You just proved my point right. Now I must go now because Chris is coming on. BAI BAI:D

I in no way proved your point. You're simply biased against people who didn't start earlier. Ignoramus strikes again. :)
