Well, I for one don't like it because if I tell them the weapon, they will have time to practice with it, and prepare to learn some methods of killing people with the weapon, and using it on DM with the soroundings.(I.E. Develop a strategy of fighting near the Barrels.) Although, if you wait until the Event to tell the weapon, it will be pure skill.

Because I'd rather it be a surprise. Nothin like the look on their faces when I pull a KV9 PLZ.

Also the higher players would simply have to practice a little and then become unstoppable. :[

The reason I don't want it to be pure skill is so people can learn to develop fighting skills instead of it being that any good player can walk on and win, I'd rather have the prizes spread out to the entire population instead of the people who are unnaturally talented.
The problem with your point of view is that you see it only from the way that you have been blessed (or cursed) with the amazing talent of being able to select ANY weapon and be able to absolutely kill anyone with (very great might I add) ease. Gerami most likely doesn't like it because since he hasn't fought enough he doesn't know how annoying it is when the ETs set the weapons to a weapon they've never practiced with before let alone used.
This may not be accurate but don't get all bent out of shape. I can change it but I think this would be more beneficial to those who really want to win but never can because people just have more unnatural talent.

Well Really The People With The Natural Talent Will Win Anyways Hands Down...>.>

Yeah I really haven't played Zone enough. Nice one.

Also, "when the ETs set the weapons to a weapon they've never practiced with before let alone used", yeah that's kind of the point. It gives noobs a CHANCE.

well, if it's unnatural, they deserve to win, they practiced enough to get good

lol, no they want, if you practice hard enough if you have no natural talent, you can still win over those with natural talent

VergilP2P 11-10-2007 06:21 PM

I Think Either Way If The Person Is Good They Still Win Even If The Weapon Is Announced. If You Put A Noob That Is Pretty Good With The Shotgun Agianst Desear. Desear Will Still Win, Even Though They Had Time To Practice. Also This Will Backfire As People That Are Good Will Also Have Time To Develop A Technique To Use The Weapon On Deathmatch.

Ok:

Event: Deathmatch.
Prize: Red Pistoles.
Weapons: Appirces.
Time: November 21st, 6ish Central time.
Rules: No healing DURING a battle. You can heal after you win a fight so you have full hp for the next battle. Absolutely no teaming. No hiding. You can run all you want as long as it doesn't turn into hiding. I don't mind strategic retreats; for example: if you're using lrpulsar and you keep your distance instead of going close range. That's absolutely fine. If you run away because you're losing so you can heal, I'll kick you.

If you need anything else, PM me with your questions.

anubis_wing 11-14-2007 02:15 AM

Ok for this weekends Event-A-Palooza
The Blue pistoles event weapon(s) of choice will be Melee weapons.
The Red Pistoles Event Weapon of choice will be Apripper
The Reapers Event weapon of choice will be Appirces.

The Events will begin at 10:00 am EST and I will start it off with some bombs then work my way into the big prizes.

Blue Pistols 2 hours earlier than that, too, same day.
Same rules and everything, but the weapon is Apripper.
