[QUOTE=Loriel]You do not ever respond to my ICQ messages. What do you expect?QUOTE]

I don't remember you were on my ICQ list... and I don't see you in.

If you are not on my ICQ list, all messages you send are ignored. Also when I'm at the office (the only place where I use ICQ), only a few people can see if I'm online and can contact me. Other's messages are not displayed.

If you have something to tell me, forums PM is the best way.

I personally think loriel did this for kicks and is just now saying he did it to prove a point to get out of being banned, but that just me and I do not have proof for such.

It certainly does not appear too cautious to enter login data on an unknown website.

not everyone thinks that everyone else is out to hurt graal or it's members,
Which I am not. If you could just stop impliedly accusing me of that, we could drop this topic... ?

I am certainly not stupid
That is just as debatable as your accusations.

but I will never click on another link again
Sigh. You might as well stop using the web then.

heck, I dont even know that I want to click on any link on the forums again, except that I have to, because it's my job to make sure links are appropriate =/
Some common web sense to figure out what is legitimate and what is not might help.
I give you the point about the ``I had my forums account password stolen already, one time because I clicked on a link that appeared to be a valid forum link'', but what I did was pretty obvious.

the appropriate thing to do would have been to discuss this in private with Robert
Did I not try? I do not think that such fun ignorant settings are my fault.

I think I have learned what is legal and what is illegal
And yet many people repeatly disagree with you about this.

tell me, Loriel...If someone had sent a link on GK or whatever place you work on, that was like the link that you had on here, what would you have done?
How is randomly sending a link comparable to what I did?

You completely make sense here. You know, if we let people get away with doing good things, very good things might happen, and we do not want that, do we?

If I get banned for this, it is completely fine with me as I reached my goal here.

Goboom 08-10-2004 06:58 PM

MOONIE! Do you have any logic in that thing that you call a brain!
Read my posts again and think about them this time!

GOD YOU REALLY BUG ME!

Loriel as a global was doing his job, by showing people the flaw.
He did make an attempt to contact Tux, it is not his fault Tux did not respond.

Sigh. And I eventually thought I just had the wrong UIN.
Not very handy to ignore my messages if you expect to be contacted about problems.

Look Loriel it is apperent that you did this because you wanted to prove a point and you did, I'm happy for you. In this case I dont really think you would need to be banned. But I do think its unfair had someone who is non global done this they would have been banned. I think graal as a whole needs to stop being so ban happy.

How do you know someone that does not have global rights would be banned?

I dunno, I assume they would.

Butz 08-10-2004 07:57 PM

Well, to go off-topic from this accusatory cavalcade for a moment, but perhaps remaining on-topic to the thread in general, I think this is a very nice addition. It'll add some nice options to formatting posts and perhaps conserve space as well.

Loriel 08-10-2004 08:13 PM

Heh. Your sig makes nice use of the tags.

dlang 08-10-2004 08:38 PM

Loriel I see how you were trying to demonstrate how that feature could be abused yet your methods for doing so are flawed. In my opinion, you shouldn't be banned, but the rules aren't my opinion. Because of your actions you should be banned though.

Sir, you just contradicted yourself.
