2006 sounds about right. If Mt. Antora is forested, it's what I'm looking for.

So, I'd say the project is dead due to lack of organization and motivation.

Pretty much how it went down, sadly. Lack of interest, and other member's motivation.

Kamaeru 12-27-2010 02:12 AM

What? I've been interested.

Could you give me a level name to check if possible?

Good news is coming. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Here's another random screenshot.

I find it funny, in a way, that while a lot of us are getting older, we still hold out some small hope to see Graal2001 again someday.

"It happened once before," we think, "so why couldn't it happen again?"

This actually brings up something I've put a lot of thought into.

What drove our love of Graal2001 the most, and is it actually repeatable.

Was it our ages and maturity that came together with the increase in technology and community to create the perfect scenario for a game?

Yes! It was a historic day.

I fear it is the principle of the thing. But worry not!

Here's another random screen.

I care who has the levels because those levels represent a lot of hard work and allowing the levels to be thrown around would imply that I don't care about the project, which is certainly not the case. I think it is safe to say that people would be upset if I started posting backups of playerworlds!

Geno 01-02-2011 02:31 AM

i don't see how having files public implies lack of respect for project. it's not like someone is gonna take all the levels and open their own g2k1 server. and if they did nobody would care or even notice. either way, whatevvvzzzz

About the custom bodies I made... I think the main issue is the ganis... yeah it's not a lot of fun to remake the ganis for these bodies because it's dozens of images layered just right... Though it really wouldn't take a lot of time to do. It's more or less just not a fun job so I guess that's why nobody wants to do it.

We actually made a program that can convert one grayscale png clothing file into all of the various colors, so that would actually not be a big deal to make... It was just the ganis that were a nightmare, though still possible to do.
