Yup, it's one of the second dan ones. It involves lovely stuff like high twisting kicks and left-legged jumping reverse turning kicks. I love it because high kicks are my specialty.

If you see him falling on the floor a lot then it probably is. It's annoying how some people get to skip that pattern, though. If they're too old to do the patterns then they really shouldn't get the belts either. But I've yet to see anybody who isn't a black belt do even Chung Mu properly (with the jumping side kick and stuff) and I bet they still pass.

What's sopathetic is that this girl (that has a crush on the guy I have a crush on, dammit :() got her blackbelt, and she totally messed up on Chung Mu and basically everything else during testing. She had to break with a flying side kick for christ's sake, and it took her like 6 tries. I wanted to cry.

Falling on the floor? Naw. The pattern actually looks really good; he's gotten so many gold medals in patterns that it scares me. But still. He's a second degree. ;/ Isn't Greezi a third degree or something?

I'd be impressed if he was. The thing I don't like about competition patterns, though, is that all the judges have their own criteria and styles. What would fail in my club might be fabulous in another. That's why I never compete. I did get a medal in sparring once, though, in the English Championships. I was the lightest in my weight group, too.

Now I feel really tall....... I am but I mean this makes me feel REALLY FRICKING TALL. (No offense) I'm 6' 7" ::still needs to fix his god damn digital camera::

I believe I am 5' 9'' but I could be mistaken. I usually work in metric units. But being too tall is bad in martial arts anyway, so I'm happy where I am.

I am adrift in a sea of words I do not comprehend. I take karate, so I understand the English terms. But all the Korean (or whatever it is)...

Woah. I didn't know people still did that kung foo stuff....woah.....

My friend wants me to start Karate, but I want to learn how to gun fight.

1) Point gun.
2) Pull trigger.

Now go learn Karate.

I dont wanna take Tung su doh or whatever :(

Because it improves your confidence and self-esteem, gives you inner peace, allows you to focus better, and gives you the ability to beat the crap out of any non-martial artist. :D

Heh... nothing wrong with fighting in Martial Arts, you just can't initiate fights. Usually if you're good at Karate, then if someone grabs you from behind or something you've usually pinned them before you realize it, so there's not much you can do about it.

Oh, and Karate is JAPANESE. Not Chinese. JAPANESE.

Wrong! Tae Kwon Do = Korean, though a lot of it is derived from Karate.
