Excellent. Love this idea then, because it means Murasamune will be able to get a NPC server, and others like Faheria. Very good plan if this is the case...

About custom tilesets for the client....some servers (like Murasamune) will be very strange with custom tilesets. Could we by any chance rescrict it somehow? Like check if the client has a different size file for the tiles, then they re-download it?

Also, downloading tilesets...possible to do through graal client?

This is gonna be cool. I was all worried before but I dont have to upgrade my account again with this and I dont need to play g2k1, it sucks now anyways. I am so glad NPC-Server will still be available for playerworlds too. But this classic p2p stuff will push some of the oldbies off the edge, we could loose a lot of peopler but I applaud unixmad for your great decision, I dont have to spend 40 bucks for an account anymore! =P

This idea is bad, Classic should always be free. Playing free for a bit is how people are influenced to pay for the better graphics, etc., but Classic will always have the best playerbase, but not anymore! Damned plan.

Existing Staff on "Free Servers"
 

Ok If I understand this correctly , if we chose not to have the npcserver and pretty much exist as we are now without them correct? And too what about the existing Staff and Owners of the free servers ? Will they exist or be replaced or controlled by other Graal Admins? I and Moon Goddess both have P2P accounts and have supported the game by having them for I rarely get on P2P , just did it to support the Game. Are we out of a job? Or will there be limits on the size of our Staff providing we still run the PW? Just a few thoughts I had. Ohh I like what Unixmad is doing and it is about time the trouble makers and freeloaders were weeded out and this may just do it , because the "hackers' will not want to "pay" and certainly will not keep making accounts seeing they will be able to do NOTHING on a trial account. YaY! :p

It cost alot of money to keep Graal up and online and NOTHING is free in life so why do you think Graal should be? Be realistic , it cannot stay free forever.

All of these people who hate the idea should realize that if something doesn't happen soon, they will not have enough money to keep Graal going.

Technically yeah, but in many ways not really.
No one will want to play a game that doesn't save the progress they make in it, and that they have to wait ten minutes to get on and play. And alot of these people won't have a credit card to pay anyway, nor will their parents allow them to add it to the phone bill.
This is basically like free samples for a food product that weren't made with all the ingredients. Therefore if the samples taste like ass, why would people want to pay for the actual product?

a one time pay of 15 dollars is good enough for me any day, With abilities to store levels online, I can do tests with friends and stuff, or maybe bring up a small playerworld.
