I think zodiac is better because you don't level as fast and you always have something to do (be it levelling or getting enough money to buy that next level weapon/armor or even partying to gain levels).

No.

I was just telling you that your previous statement of "Nobody is telling you to develop" is wrong.

Nowhere did in my post did I say that I cannot figure out how to respond when they're telling us to develop instead of complain.

You can go from level 1 to 60 in weekend. How is that not fast?

On agility and mental?
I don't think you mean physique/wisdom/magic? Unless you have tons of brutals/immenses saved up? If you have friends who are fairly successful in the game (high-leveled, and have game-welath), i suppose it would be easy if they give you equipment + maps.

But in reality, for the average player who probably DOES have a few friends, it would be an accomplishment for them to get to from level 1 to 30 in a weekend.

Now imagine the very new (not just to GK, but to Graal as well) player who has no friends.
Getting to level 10 is their challenge.

Maybe today because most new players are just lazy and not very smart when it comes to leveling up but back when I started playing Graal Kingdoms I got to level 10 in a few hours and it was not very hard to do just took some time.

Well, you have to take this into consideration, for a new player who has nobody helping him/her (and also maybe have no reason to believe he/she needs help)

1. First thing they do is make tools and stuff, and probably start baking bread because they see their food meter is going down. That's already some time wasted with the mining + more
2. Once they finally feel that situation is under control, they'll go craft weapons and armour. This will take up more time with more mining + crafting + traveling between towns (remember, they dont know where everything is... and their speed sucks, and they probably dont realize they're being weighed down by materials, tools, etc... )
3. They feel ready to go kill some monsters...so the leveling begins. With this kind of equipment, they won't make it in the HH at level 1, so they have to go kill shell bomys and other overworld creatures
4. After a while it'll get boring and seem pointless killing overworld creatures... so they'll go to the HH, and likely die a lot
(Edit: and who can forget ship-building? I know that kept me entertained as a newbie... and nowadays you have to buy cannonballs, so that could take up more time. They're not lazy, they just don't know what this game is centered on, and how so many parts of it are unused)

I could go on, but you get the point; newbies can spend lots of time with "pointless" aspects of the game
It's easier if you know someone who plays, even if it's another newbie, as long as he knows a little bit, and has the prayer skill, he can just bless you a bow to govannon, and tell you to go kill baddies in the HH, and T-rexes in the underground-dungeon. And that eliminates steps 1-4.... just with a simple bow

I meant on Zodiac. As that's what Raven's post is about.

No ****, genius. You can't level if you're never on it.

Ravenblade1979 03-14-2008 11:24 PM

too true but i do gain some experience everyday from killing monsters then i head to zone

James 03-15-2008 12:30 AM

In my opinion I think you should get experience for any type of job you do, not as much as killing monsters, but a decent amount that makes mining, baking, farming not as one sided, you get more benefits out of doing it.

For instance, the better bread you make, the more exp you will receive and you will also get the bread!

grawlgamer 03-15-2008 03:15 AM

Not all of us have that much time every day to level up without end or point on gk.

That's what happens on GK, to an extent.

It really should be implemented into a more practical way. There's about 5 or 6 subgroups for experience, correct? It should be combined into job experience and fighting experience, or something of the sort.

There's no purpose for all the subgroups because there really isn't any substantial benefits to them.
