another point on resources each kingdom would start with the basic resources :-
wood = tools, weapons, building materials iron = tools, weapons, watering cans, wheelbarrows clay = building materials fish = for food deer = food gold = used to make money then there is the exotic materials :- pearls = jewelry worn by royalty or high ranking officials Stone = used for the castles, walls, lookout towers( but this is only for the few kingdoms) grapes = to make a special juice that has healing porperties coal = used to help the blacksmiths make the weapons peat= to fuel the fires of the domestic houses also some resources are specific to certain areas on graal 2002 such as pearls are found underwater at certain places stone is found in the mountains grapes are found in the warm climate of the middle lands coal is found on the cliffs of the sea peat is found in the marshs of the north but every kingdom needs every resource so they have to trade to get it but if a war between to kingdoms happens this means the caravans going to one of the kingdoms that are at war could be captured by the enemy kingdom so they could get the resources and the enemy cant and this could also mean you could starve and enemy into surrender by cutting there food supplies |

several weapons good enough to replace the default sword =/
yeah that's it! no more default weapon!#$ silly sword is getting old. does the same old thing. slash... slash... slash... |
Yeah, it would be cool to have weapon specialization. So you can have different ranks of soldiers. Like lance(:) ), axe, etc.
|
National Debt.
Kingdoms need to borrow war funds? They have a debt. |

Weapons like swords, bows, maces, lances, etc would be weapons to get. |
Just imagine a REAL seige... with catapults, battering rams, trebeches, LOBBING arrows (not stupid stright ones), flaming arrows, long swords, short swords, broad swords, mounted knights, and maybe, if the kingdom is *advanced* enough, a cannon =)! Cannons WERE introduced to Europe in approx 1350...
Then, in addition to that, you could literally starve them to death, poision their water, salt their fields, kill their livestock, etc. THAT would be the perfect G2K2. |
Hey, when did Stefan get 2400 posts?!

A Trebuche is... hmm. A trebuche is a REALLY powerful catapult, except it works diffrently. Here is a site that explains it better than I could ever do. Find it here. Also, try to make the flaming arrows catch the straw and wood stuff on fire... and hot oil! YES! |
a trebuchet is a huge sling-shot attached to a catapult :p
