Nice work Graal Iphone!
1337 people next? ^^ |
Some of those tiles aren't too bad, but the cliffs, rocks, trees, bushes, and signs are disgusting. I can understand why you would want to change them, but don't use the first crappy tiles you can just get for the sake of change.

All and all, our opinions as PC Graal players on classic iPhone are moot to the developers to be perfectly honest. Its a completely different market targeted here, the iPhone players, who unlike us, are a hefty majority of Graal 'virgins'. Whatever direction that brings players in and have graal be successful in that market is going to be the direction it goes in.
I'm not saying those tiles aren't godawful, because they are. For the most part though, that's just another opinion here from another developer who has spent years on the PC version of this game. Unlike experienced PC players and devs, iPhone players don't really know the technical and development aspects of anything about this game. They don't know what this game really is or what it used to be, like we do. Just in general, this is a different breed and generation of players altogether, so their opinions of content in general is going to be different. To new players, the graphics might look like an upgrade from what we used as default pics1.png since like 2002-2003.(i don't remember when tbh, whenever they did the major changes to the trees and stuff) In essence, you could call this a rebirth of Graal on a different platform. Things obviously aren't going to be the same this time around. Look how the PC version turned out after awhile anyway, so I hope it doesn't go the same this time around. Stefan shouldn't be calling us whiners though, we are trying to give him our feedback on things, albeit communication could be more polite on both sides, but calling people giving negative feedback about stuff "whiners" isn't very professional, even if you don't care about what the PC players think of what should be done on the iPhone server. So the real question is, what those iPhone players think of everything that is being added or changed from what we are used to? |

I don't know how you can't consider them Graalians, they're just playing a different server on a different device. Different platform, different server, a lot of differences in general. Also it is becoming a lot more successful than Graal ever has been previously. As of now though, that's their server, a very successful one as far as players go, and unless you also an an iPhone player as well, you're not even a part of the server. So my question to you is, why should they listen to us about a server we have nothing to do with? Only thing I can think of is because we have more knowledge and experience about this game, but I don't even know who the hell you are. Why do you expect people to listen to you about something you're not a part of and have nothing to do with? |

See the Classic PC project: Some people were complaining over and over again that Classic needs a client-side hit detection and ignored the fact that it needs to go back to the original gameplay and create new stuff like quests instead of talking about details no one cares about. It's like 'OH NO! THERE IS A TILE ERROR!" when you could just play or work on your own interesting Graal server project. I hope the discussion can go back to the topic :D |

Well anyone is more than welcome to propose new cliff tiles, or at least a fixed version so they connect properly.
