OpenGL is pretty much needed to do something like Graal in Linux. Microsoft only provides DirectX for Windows.

There is nothing wrong with my openGL driver cause I can use Graal offline without a problem, but when I try to go online, it freezes.

I had the same problem, turns out the Linux Graal doesn't like having your account name the same as your nickname online. So set your nickname to something else besides "Kronan" and it might work.

Yeah, the Linux client was a good attempt, but it still has a little ways to go. It's fully playable at least and pretty fast. :)

My NIC isn't detected by linux, and I got one from a friend and it's detected but it just plain doesn't work. :(

Does anyone know if there will be a level editor for Graal on Linux? XD

If you don't need WYSIWYG, one exists. Goes by the name of PICO. You can use KATE or any other text editor as well.

Can you run other 3d games on Linux? It sounds for me like a problem with OpenGL, other parts of the program normally doesn't crash or are not used at startup

When your in /usr/bin/graal do you run it by the command ./graalexe because that gives me a seg fault when I do it, so do it like ./graal if your not already.

Johnny_5 05-30-2003 02:15 AM

I dont do that. I just type "graal" in to terminal.

superb 05-30-2003 07:56 AM

Well it doesn't matter which 'win' you have got. As that is Windows, and the .sh is for Linux. You require the other download, and not the .sh one. Look at the other link.

Smoke2k3 05-30-2003 12:33 PM

ya exacly what i was thinking but other ppl say they download that one and they got v3 on win, that one for win there is just v2.19

superb 05-30-2003 06:24 PM

Those people are just stupid. :)
