I started a Thwomp but now I'm at the point where I needed to do the spikes and I ran out of ideas so this one might never be finished.

Angreh stone is angeh. >(

Seems like it would be in the Mario&Luigi rpg games as a talking stone/roadblock. :P

Does that mean someone without knowledge can't pull it off? Not exactly, but if they were able to they wouldn't know why, and thus probably wouldn't be able to reproduce the same outcome again.

Just like Picasso, you should know how to draw reality before you begin your own things that are breaking rules :)

Art is not just fantasy though although fantasy is the best choice for it
Everyone does have a hidden talent. Not sure what you're talking about, but you are wrong. Open up more please

nice triple post x_x

Trying to get used to my new tablet. Thought I'd try an "painted feel" for a platformer thing. Sadly it seems like the smaller the brushes in photoshop, the softer they get, even at 100% hardness. So this is looking way too blurry for my tastes. Wish there was a way to remedy this.

Pixel it with the tablet :P

Liberated 12-30-2010 03:02 PM

Perhaps throw a sharpening filter over it and see what happens?

Dnegel 12-30-2010 03:16 PM

Use the pen instead of the brush

I wanted a brush/painting like feel, not a pixel one.

I'm pretty sure most digital artists use very large canvases when they're drawing and then resize it once they're done.

Yup, a lot of them do it.

Maybe but... that's such foreign territory! It just doesn't feel right!

Liberated 12-30-2010 07:33 PM

Yeah resizing in pixel art is a big nono xD

Tried sharpening, left is using "Smart Sharpen." Right just uses "Sharpen"

DustyPorViva 06-09-2011 01:00 AM

I'm bored, and even though my interest in Graal has dwindled to a near non-existence I have no use for these graphics. I was just bored and really inspired by Minish Cap.

After they're done, I'm gonna throw them in the Free Tiles thread, so I guess you can call this a "sneak peak."
