True. Also yes it may give them money but look at this:

Player1 Buys Account >
Player1 Help on Server >
Player2 Likes Server so upgrades to play server >
Player1 makes more things as player3,4,5,6,7.... all sign up >
Cyberjouers get some money from accounts off all players >
Cyberjours provide an online MMORPG service for all players......

And that chain continues but with different people, so its all worth it in the end.

the whole chocolate thing isnt the same... you arent making the chocolate... but I guess making chocolate would be fun...
